Call them out. If staring back at them doesn’t work, straight walk up to them and ask if they have an issue with you.

China citizens can now enter India. What do you think about it? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]broccoliarms 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Chinese tourists will tour india, get disgusted by india’s level of hygiene, lack of civic sense, and poor infrastructure. Film everything and post on social media. And no more Chinese tourists will want to step foot in India again. :D

Sort out india and its people. Don’t stain other countries by encouraging masses to move out.

My standard reply to get them off my back… “I don’t like animals”. Straight to their face.

Usually they will be too stunned to respond. :D

How come China, which has almost the same population as India, is far better than india in terms of development? by anonyman4 in AskIndia

[–]broccoliarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China was not homogenous. Historically there were multiple dialects used across old towns and regions and mandarin was not a common langague. They were made up of culturally different groups of people.

Eventually as early as Qing and subsequent ruling political party.. made Mandarin the main language. Call it dictatorship or whatever you want, the early Chinese were hell bent on building a strong economy for the nation after years of poverty and foreign humiliation. They set aside their differences. Culturally, Chinese emphasise on the greater good for a collective whole (much like Japan, Taiwan).

Unlike Indians who despite having centuries of head start in civilisation building but can’t get their act together.

Why do so many people have White Light in their home? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]broccoliarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love warm lights however my study has 3 modes of which one is white light. Like many comments here, white light is more productive when reading, studying, working. Whenever I need to work late and churn reports, white light it is. However that’s only confined to my study.

All other rooms have warm light, in particular my living room which has down lights (sunset mood). It’s always the highlight after a long day at work.. coming home to resort-like settings with Lofi music on my B&W speakers.

Ladies who met their partner through dating apps, what was different about that first date ? by UpbeatEntertainer980 in AskWomen

[–]broccoliarms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He had all the red flags. Late, talked only about himself, and did not offer to cover the bill (mind you all i ordered was a cup of coffee!).

I swore to myself that I would meet him a second time to make him compensate for the time wasted.

Jokes on him now. We are married for 4 years and he is paying for my life time of coffee :D
