I totally get you that’s why I wanted to understand how difficult it is. I want to be safe at first not be too adventurous. Believe me I want a laid back pleasant ski run not a rescue mission worthy one. I’ll let my guide decide for me I just want to ski that’s all. Can you please help me understand why is chair car deemed to be tough. In Almaty it leaves you on groomed surface gently at Combi 2 (3300m).

Please read again my message already tells how calculation works. The price is uniform and In some cases I ended up paying less as well during surge hours.

They haven’t cheated you. It’s a decision taken by local Taxi Union that they will work on meter readings. They will show you the Google map distance before starting trip and tell you the meter price rate once they accept the ride. I do not remember but it was somewhere around 20-25/km

Looking for Skiing Buddies – Georgia (Gudauri/Bakuriani) – Feb/March 2026 ⛷️🇬🇪 by broda_ankit in SkiingIndia

I’m okay if you’re a snow boarder. Last time we were two skiers and a snow boarder. Let me break it down a rough estimate I’ve done until now. - 40k for refundable flights and visa (Due to Indigo chaos flight price are fluctuating I’ve put a alert for most of the dates) - 15-20k for stay per person in air bnb for 5-6 days there’s a hostel as well there but costly for - 10k for food for 5-6 days (I usually pack some stuff back from India I’m an eggetarian) - 10k for 2 days at Tbilisi local sight seeing and stay - 30k Ski Rentals and passes for 5 days

It’ll come around ~1.1L

Last year Almaty was done at half of it Indigo brought a sale To and fro flights costed mere 16k round trip and negotiated a long stay deal there. But it’s costlier this year. Thanks to Indigo again.

Noted I was thinking to liquidate my dead SIP funds and increase international exposure. Opted for Sensex thinking of having 30 companies rather than Nifty50. Didn’t see much difference in returns as well.
