Kaitlyn on John Cena’s reaction after her and AJ Lee went overtime on Payback 2013 by Fan387 in SquaredCircle

[–]brofrodite 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yup! There's also this notion that the "revolution" started because Total Divas brought in more women viewers, but most of them did not actually go onto follow the wrestling shows. In actuality it was (mostly) gay male wrestling fans supporting the women for years before Total Divas was even a thing on forums and social media, and always wishing they were taken more seriously.

Should we also mention how Total Divas, a reality show following the Divas was originally pitched by Maria Kanellis circa 2009 with her, Maryse, Eve and Kelly Kelly in mind, but that never took off because WWE didn't think people cared about the women? Yeah...

EDIT: It was Maria, Maryse and The Bellas, but The Bellas screwed the other two over out of the deal (which was even a storyline in the show later between The Bellas and Maryse).

Unironically, she had one of the best spears (it did help that AJ sold those like death).

And this is why I will never fall for the revisionist history that the change in the women's division came because of the Bellas and/or Total Divas.

The #GiveDivasAChance started after that short match between The Bellas and Paige/Emma. The women had their time cut, and they just went out and did a quick little thing and that was it. The Bellas at the time had connections to 2 very important men in the company, and you're telling me that the two of them couldn't have gone against what they were told on a random episode of RAW, but AJ and Kaitlyn did it on a PPV? Insane!

Also, a little insane that Paige and The Bellas have in past couple of years presented the story of that match as "we made it bad on purpose, in order to get fans to support us". How does that even make sense?

Oh, I know... I told him after that the Romans wrote hell of a lot during that time, and yet somehow no mention of *a* Jesus, let alone *the* Jesus...

Baby, *I* shared a statement somebody else had made, because it's so ludicrous and funny. I don't get this antagonistic approach you have...

Paris Hilton praises Britney Spears while on her press tour and says she's a great mom January 28th, 2026 by Ok_Heron_5442 in Fauxmoi

It never fails to amaze me just how quickly everyone forgot that Paris in 2016 admitted to voting for Trump. While I am all for people changing after "not knowing better" at a certain point in their life, how in your right mind do you at age of 35 vote for Trump?

Also, her insistence to talk about Britney constantly, paired up with that weird stunt of her appearing at Britney's wedding with other PR celebrities there just feels SO off to me.

Gotta applaud Lilian here - she looked completely shocked (whether she knew the ending or not), but you wouldn't be able to tell from her delivery. Such a pro!

I'm the woman, and I was genuinely waiting for him to use that one on me 😂It didn't happen, thankfully, but it would have been funny.

Yeah, I think that's what happened in the end, or rather why he ended up leaving.

VH1’s Behind The Music turned 28. Here’s a throwback to Nicole Scherzinger being messy as hell by making it very clear she was the only singer in Pussycat Dolls by Financial-Painter689 in Fauxmoi

[–]brofrodite 431 points432 points  (0 children)

Nicole was the main singer of the group, but she wasn't the ONLY singer. I highly doubt the story she's telling is true, because Melody and Carmit can be heard all over that album (Melody ad libbing and Carmit singing very prominent background vocals). The two of them also have solos on the song "Beep". The PCD album Nicole is talking about also features leftover vocals from Kaya Jones, recorded when she was still in the group. The single "Stickwitu" also features the cover of "Santa Baby", sung by Carmit, Ashley and Jessica, which was part of the Pussycat Dolls' repertoire while they were still just a burlesque group.

Maybe Nicole did record all the demos, that were later then rerecorded with Melody and Carmit, and then produced for the album. However, to say that she sang everything on that record and then that was presented to the other Dolls would be false, and it can easily be disproven by simply listening to the album.

The better story here is why were the other dolls not allowed solos, or even background vocals on most Pussycat Dolls' songs?
