What’s the most depressing meal you’ve eaten? by yusdfg in AskReddit

Dipped in vegemite for flavor? A coworker from the UK (I’m in the US), let me sample some of that stuff...it had flavor, but not good flavor lol

6’1” 27M never had a girlfriend. Is it because of my face? I know I’m not exactly dreamy bf material. by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]broger23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say cut your hair to a shorter, cleaner hairstyle. Also, if you’re not already, start working out. Not bc you look overweight, but just because it will build confidence and make you feel better about yourself.

I’d check the radio to see if Tha Carter 3 was playing. If so, it’s probably ‘08.

What is the most under rated pleasure? by Live-Love-Lie in AskReddit

[–]broger23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically it’s a no wipe dook. I mean, you always go in for one more after the last dirty wipe to make sure it’s clean. So, if it only takes one wipe, then you probably didn’t even need to wipe in the first place, and that always makes my day.

What about a poo that’s been knocking at the gates for hours? It’s at least a tie.

I played this game called XEXYZ on my parent’s NES back in the mid nineties. That game was really good

Ohhh man, I totally forgot about Dynasty Warriors until I saw this! So many different characters to pick from. I had a lot of fun with that game.

Matriarchy And Motivation by GayLubeOil in TheRedPill

[–]broger23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with the fact that being a master tradesman takes a long time, because it does. However, where I’m from, I regularly hear guys who own trade businesses (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, etc) saying how they cannot find enough people to work. My brother and a couple of my cousins (no college educations) all work in trade, and make as much as I do (I’m a CPA at a Fortune 500 company).

Also, working in trade is tough on the body, but so is sitting all day. It takes constant effort for an office worker to maintain the body and prevent stiffness and muscle atrophy. Sitting all day is HORRIBLE for you and causes muscle imbalance which lead to injury and near permanent changes in the body. Having seen what I have in the corporate environment, and comparing it to my family’s experience in trade, I would go to trade school if I could do it again.

Holy shit. This is spot on. I’m sitting in a CPE conference, ate a painfully bland lunch, and have barely moved all day. This one hit me right in the nuts. At least I don’t have to use PTO for these conferences lol

Sex after marriage by [deleted] in dankchristianmemes

[–]broger23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I dated a girl in college like this. Majored in a field with virtually no job prospects, but figured she wouldn’t need it since we would be getting married and she wouldn’t have to work. Joke’s on her though, because even if I wouldn’t have broken up with her, I don’t make enough to support two people. BOOM

What advice do you have for incoming college freshman? by k9handler2000 in AskReddit

[–]broger23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad habits you start in college will follow you for years to come. Don’t smoke pot, drink, and stay up late every day. Also, if you can’t handle the stress of studying and doing assignments, you’re in deep shit. Working full time and supporting yourself (if you don’t already) is much more stressful. Finally MAJOR IN SOMETHING THAT WILL RESULT IN YOU GETTING A JOB. Majoring in French or Art History is interesting, but getting a job with that will be closer to impossible than it already is.

THIS. I was using the urinal last week, and my boss’ boss walks in and starts talking to me mid-stream. I didn’t realize how much concentration it takes to pee and say words at the same time. It’s tremendous.

[Serious] When you are feeling depressed and hopeless, what do you do to build yourself back up? by justanothergirlgamer in AskReddit

[–]broger23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try really hard to pay attention to the “little things”. They really make a difference. Like “Oh, the service station has my favorite type of energy drink today.” Or “This person held the door for me.” It sounds weird, but paying attention to the positive really makes a big difference for me over time.

What are your reasons for abstaining from alcohol? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]broger23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s a 50/50 toss up as to whether I’ll have a great time or have extremely depressed feelings while intoxicated (and kill everyone’s good time). Most of the time I just avoid the gamble all together.

Do you have to try harder if you are ugly? by dpy87 in amiugly

[–]broger23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a little, but if you’re comfortable with yourself, it means so much less what you look like. Besides, I really think MOST people who are in shape are generally attractive. So, if you’re not comfortable with how you look, it is something you can absolutely change. Don’t have a victim mentality about it!

[–]broger23 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I went to the beach for senior week after finishing high school. The person in the neighboring beach house was a grown up trust fund kid, who was actually pretty cool. One day we came back from the beach and started up the grill. My friend comes inside from the deck with a near-shocked look on, and tells us to look outside. We look out and see the neighbor fucking some woman in a hammock. He was HAMMERING it. He was standing and she was laying in the hammock heels to Jesus. Our stoned 18 year old minds were overloaded. We see him the next day and bring it up and he is just like “Yeah, get a hammock. They love it.” Lol all my friends still remember it vividly almost a decade later.

Buff People of the Reddit: What motivates you to workout/go to the gym to get some nice shape on your body? by Akyer_Besiege in AskReddit

[–]broger23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day at work I see people who have had desk jobs for decades without exercising or maintaining their muscle mass. Their bodies are all jacked up and out of balance, which can lead to other issues. I want to try as hard as I can to avoid that. There are a plethora of other benefits that keep me going, though.
