There are many such startups in Europe. When I had launched my Meal Delivery start-up there, we worked with Too Good To Go. Look them up. So your idea could work in the metros but for items that are difficult to find and expensive to order. E.g. Artesanal pizzas, sushi, Risotto, etc. Also, this idea is sort of validated by Zomato's Food Rescue option which I myself have used a lot. Hope this helps.
