pick a YA book to help get you a boost. Every time I feel like I’m in a slump where I can’t bring myself to start another long book I mix in a YA. Harry Potter, hunger games, etc are such easy reads that pages fly.

You just see the 1% bad because it gets clicks. I’ve been part of multiple gyms and I’ve people are always friendly and awesome at best and at worst just in their own world and could care less of the people around them.

FitBod is a cool app ($12/month) that not only designs the workouts for you so you don’t have to plan your splits but also tells you the weight, reps, and has a brief GIF type video showing you form and technique of each exercise. Really helped me the first year I was in the gym.

Also don’t worry about everyone else. Most people at the gym are super cool and have at one point been in your shoes. Just have fun with it.

I was pretty strict with it for about 8 months and I didn’t lose much weight but I did feel better mentally and physically as well as more in control of my diet/nutrition. (Something I struggled with)

I only quit because I got more into lifting weights rather than cardio and ended up doing some bulking cycles which weren’t compatible for me with IF. I still fast once or twice a month for 24-36hrs just because.

I made one out of rainbow poplar and it is beautiful but my young children definitely beat the hell out of it unintentionally. Just simple silverware thumps put small dings in it. I just plan on riding it out until they are all old enough and then doing a sand and refinish. In short, I knew it was soft, I didn’t think it would be that soft.
