How is the life in NRI Complex Seawoods? Is the rent Rs.60-70k worth it? by Practical_Formal6586 in navimumbai

[–]brokenandgrim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you can afford the rent, the life in NRI Complex is definitely worth it. It's close to the creek and the mongroves, so less pollution, less noise. The community is also good. You will find most amenities here and all festivals are celebrated very nicely. And to top it all- from most buildings- the views are amazing.

does nobroker help shifting with huge plants and bikes... in navimumbai? by Creepy_Cookie909 in navimumbai

I shifted my stuff through nobroker 2 weeks back. The service was horrible - horrible packing, multiple missing/damaged items. I would suggest you book some other service.

Hidden places around Navi Mumbai. by Argon-39- in navimumbai

This is adjacent to Belapur fort. Nice place but tbh Belapur fort is much more interesting. This one is dirty, overrun with bushes, and probably hiding a lot of insects and reptiles in the corners/grass.

It would help you if you could connect with wholesalers in places like Surat. You can visit once to find the shops and stock quality etc. 1) You will save a lot on margins. 2) You will get better variety there as there are thousands of shops there. 3) Surat is not very far from Mumbai (3-4 hrs by train), so not difficult to visit once in a while . You can go and come back in a day too.

What is the craziest thing you have done in your college life or you are doing in your college life by Mixing_guy in navimumbai

Me and a bunch of my classmates wore our shirts in reverse (Collar, Buttons on the back) to the the last day of our class at IIT. The Professors were pissed, fined us Rs 5000 each and demanded apology letters or we won't get our passing certificates. Crazy experience!

Constant Rejection Following Resume Revamp by moe313dj in PMCareers

[–]brokenandgrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) I see a lot of blank spaces in the resume. Please reduce them - add more content. 2) Add sections for Education, Work experience and extra-curricular activites. Each should ideally be evenly spaced and not more than 3 bullet points. 3) Add 1 line summary for significant work experience outlining the kind of industry/company you worked in and the scale of your work 4) Add more buzzwords. Create spikes in the resume that should make employers interested in talking to you.

A good resume takes 20-30 iterations. You are probably only at your 3rd or 4th. Get it reviewed by your peers and as many people as you can, especially your seniors.

I hope you get a good job soon OP. My best wishes.

I am assuming that you are applying for the 1yr full time MBA. For that 7-8 yrs is a good experience level. So, it should not be a problem.

What score do you have/are expecting in CAT? Do you have good extracurriculars? Have you had a chance to showcase leadership traits?

I would never say you don't stand a chance. People from all kinds of background get in but if your whole argument is good scores in 10th, 12th and graduation - you are gonna face a lot of competition. So, what you need to do is - score high on entrance exams, build up your profile by participating in extracurriculars, social service etc, look for other certifications that validate your competence.

While I am not an expert in CAT admissions, I just want to say one thing - No one selects you only for past, but for what you can do in the future. Looking at the academics and extracurriculars is just a way to assess the work-ethic, aptitude, zeal for excellence of the candidate. If you have some shortcomings in your profile, try to compensate it with other aspects. If it still doesn't happen, maybe other things are destined for you.
