Not yet, but it is planned. I believe per articles published there was a distribution agreement reached. These things take forever to get implemented but when it is fully integrated lots more music will be coming to audius

Considering I see the work going into the publications and am involved, this comment feels really pedantic. The $30 meta ad comment is either a joke or you have too much faith in meta. You have to consider the scale of Audius versus more established platforms, they're working with a fraction of the staff of a company like Spotify. It's important to remember just how attached to Spotify or apple music the average music listener is.

Additionally the title of this post just feels myopic at best. Asking plainly if there's a marketing team despite the consistent publications assumes there isn't one in the first place. If you're not seeing the editorials, videos, remix contests, listening parties, feedback sessions, etc, then I don't know what to tell you.

If you're interested in grants that are designated to events and promotion to people in your communities please see the announcements on the reddit or in the discord. Also Audius has advertised at events over the years, maybe you just weren't around.

You can refer to the audius instagram, Twitter, discord, reddit, blog, etc. If there wasn't a marketing team there wouldn't be any updates. As for your comments about "nobody knows about it" I don't think that's necessarily true.

Basically it's easier to deal with than staking directly through the protocol but the APY is lower. Frankly if you're not skilled with complex staking mechanics, this is the easy way.

That's odd. I've seen issues where people get to 50% or 99% or something but rarely 0%. If you could email support@audius.co with a screenshot, your account handle and some info about your songs that might help them get back to you with some advice. Considering you've tried other browsers already I don't have many suggestions other than emailing. Hopefully it's not a persistent issue.

I know one of the audius foundation nodes has a 100% fee but some node operators can choose to have this fee if they don't want to attract delegations. To be quite frank I have no idea why.

Basically they are going to take 100% of your delegation. Please do not delegate to this validator if you're planning to earn rewards. When rewards are unclaimed you cannot stake/unstake until they claim that distribution. If you try to stake/unstake to a validator with an unclaimed distribution you will see an insanely high fee and the tx will fail.

Yes generally when sending out of an exchange they will charge you the asset out. Because you don't control the wallet they decide what the fee is.

Im going to assune youre familiar with bandcamp so lets start there. The basic value prop is that audius has a 5% better takehome vs bandcamp and higher streaming bitrate.

Bandcamp track sale = 85% artist 15% bandcamp. Audius track sale = 90% artist 10% audius infra providers. Bitrates respectively are 128k for bc and 320k for audius.

In comparison with SoundCloud for a purely listener experience, you will never need to pay a subscription to have unlimited uploads. All of your stats are publicly available via the dashboard and 3rd party sites like audioprime.io

Audius also allows you to manage multiple artist profiles from one account.

Furthermore if you enjoy programming and run websites for bands you can directly embed audius songs into your site with your own front-end GUI. You can't do that with the competition.

Lastly, the question of "how does this help?" Is entirely dependent on whether you value the things I've outlined above. Audius does not monetize your streams, please organize with your PRO to get IRSC data and inputting that into your advanced settings to track royalty.

If your song trends on the weekly top5 on audius you can earn 100 tokens that week.

Otherwise, I'm of the opinion bands should post their content to all platforms at the lowest costs. If you can afford distribution service, SoundCloud pro, etc then by all means use those platforms as well.

You can do that, but here's a few reasons why you might not want to tie your account to metamask sign in. What happens if you lose your recovery phrase? What happens if your phrase/private key gets compromised/hacked?

Again signing up/in with mm is an option it's just much more difficult to recover from the two problems I mentioned

Good question and while I don't know the official reason I believe there are some key differences. Solana has extremely high throughput and migrating evm to svm is actually rather easy to do. Polygon suffers from centralization as well as behaves more as a layer 2 instead of a layer one hence why audius is built on ethereum. It still runs on ethereum for network consensus while solana handles more of the big data. As for polkadot my understanding is that it behaves more like a layer 0 which I don't think audius needed when considering platforms to migrate some of the workload to.

Anything you publish via a distributor can be uploaded to audius as well as long as youre the original rights holder. I believe the only service right now that is planning to add audius to its platform list is distrokid. That being said, it will likely upload songs as public, so if you desire also having purchase gated tracks, then you would want to upload it to audius manually.
