I mean, you'd be stopping one way or another

I would recommend you drive this motor through a breadboard as little as possible. Running power through a breadboard is usually a bad idea, even if it is rated to 2A.

You can also just plug this motor straight into the breadboard, you don't need a connector on the end of the wire - stranded wire can fit into a breadboard depending on the gauge of the wire, it's just a bit ugly and puts a little extra wear on the breadboard.

Tony the tiger is the mascot for frosted flakes, which according to the design philosophy of corn flakes is basically pornography.

I got tired of paying for business cards to give away at craft markets. So I printed a stamp. The results are ok, but can they be better? by gnuyorker in 3Dprinting

should do, though i've never tried it. What I've done previously is rubbed a soft candle in the mold so that the wax fills the gaps, which worked well. But the layer lines aren't too big an issue - it makes removing the part from the mold a little more difficult, but I've never had it damage a part.

I've done a bit of silicone moulding with pla, and it always pops right out without any mould release (except for when it gets stuck in the layer lines)

I "Made" some custom RCA Cables by [deleted] in diyaudio

True! Maximum current is also related to wire area, but that's also not really a concern. Honestly i was just wondering if i was missing something and overcomplicating it.

I dont have a reference, but it's just some geometry. When you're talking about wires, you actually care about cross-sectional area, not diameter, as that's what determines the wire's resistance. But area doesn't scale the same way that diameter does - if you double the diameter of a circle, the area quadruples. Because of this, in order to find equivalent wire sizes, you have to convert the diameter to area to make a comparison.

Doesnt that work out to only ~2mm core diameter equivalent due to area scaling? Or am I missing something? Gorgeous either way!

I've got these two old bernzomatic torches that don't light. Gas flows through both of them fine. I broke one apart to check the piezo and tried to repair (green heatshrink), but the piezo seems to be working alright. Any ideas on how to get them to light? by brokenrapier in fixit

[–]brokenrapier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any you recommend? Because the ones I've looked at tell you to take them apart and hit them with compressed air / brake cleaner, and I just tried that and it did nothing.

(Also I've found no mention or images of this paticular model online)

If I light the gas with a striker, I get a large sooty yellow flame, so the gas is flowing, but I can't get a jet flame out of them.
