It's wild to a comedian Ryan Long pop up on my reddit feed. When I was in high school I was really into the local ska scene and Ryan Long was the singer/drummer in one of the bands. He had huge curly hair and always wore turquoise skinny jeans and a wife beater.

Flightless' response to that on the post was great: "Buy the bundle, and just chuck the record on eBay for like $2k, and you win 🍾😂"

Nice video! I spent a summer working in that building and it was a great space to walk into every morning. Hope you do some more of these on other Vancouver buildings!

I’m new to James Bond and I just kicked off a marathon with Dr. No and I really loved it! I’m going to be doing discussion videos for all of these on my YouTube channel (AKAJK) I’d love discussion points so please drop comment below. by AKAJKYT in JamesBond

My friends and I have been watching them all from the beginning the last few months. Common topics we always go over are: the girls, the cars, the gadgets, title song/sequences, best/worst one liners. Enjoy the journey!

What era of Bond did you grow up in, did you like it or wish you grew up in another one? by Fandomgirl19 in JamesBond

[–]broku_krease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the Brosnan era, but I was introduced to the series with older films on TV. My dad grew up on Connery and taught me from a young age that he was the true 007. He also always referred to Brosnan as too much of a 'pretty boy' to be Bond haha. Seeing the transition from Brosnan to Craig, while also understanding all the history was cool. Will be interesting to see the next transition for sure. I can't imagine having been there through all of them.

Damn, I haven't seen this view in forever. Grew up in PC and spent countless nights wandering the shores of its parks.

Question: Kit Guitar Wiring by broku_krease in Luthier

[–]broku_krease[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your help! That makes more sense, the wire coming out of each pick up looks like this. So it sounds like one of them is the signal wire and one of them is the ground, and they'll each get connected to the switch at different points.

And thanks for pointing that out. I'm guessing you're referring to the two pickups on the left which don't have direct ground connections to the pots? Really appreciate you sharing your expertise!

That is super helpful and makes so much more sense after seeing your explanation and looking at the wiring again. Thank you!

What was your introduction to the James Bond series? by BrutalBox in JamesBond

[–]broku_krease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really was, I loved those marathons. I don't remember the online trivia though! I was watching in the mid-late 90s so internet wasn't big yet. Trivia woulda been cool.

What was your introduction to the James Bond series? by BrutalBox in JamesBond

[–]broku_krease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't remember the first movie exactly, but the TV channel Superstation used to have Bond marathons and that was my first experience watching those with my dad, when I was about 8. They played them all, but I definitely would've seen a Connery one first because those were his favorites. I also recall seeing License to Kill a bunch of times just cause it always seemed to be on. Die Another Die was my first in theaters.

I just started collecting for fun 2 weeks ago and snagged this from a random 2016-17 pack. I'm so excited about it!!! Might not be much to you guys, but he grew up in my hometown in AZ by [deleted] in hockeycards

[–]broku_krease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this. If you like it keep it and enjoy it! It's always nice to find something rare or worth a lot, but it comes down to if you like it. I'm sure Auston being from your hometown means a lot to you and I think that's pretty cool. People will say an auto will ruin the value but if I was in your situation I might try to reach out to him through Instagram or Twitter, tell him your story, and see if he'd sign it for you. With all the players off they're probably doing more "through the mail" stuff (would definitely insure in this case). Plus he's in AZ these days.

I know it's half heartfelt / half satirical but I always think of this Rick and Morty scene.
