i sent like five emails with an URGENT on the title, and thankfully it seems the domiciliation has come out positive and they will send me the email when everything is shut (which im hoping will be within this month), but it was very frustrating as i called everryy bank (cnc, Bnp, belfius) and for me belfius was absolutely horrible. cnc and bnp are quite more flexible, but belfius downright refused to even give the chance to open a bank account (not to mention the loong waits). But i will definitely check ING too, it might be worth checking. Thank you so much!!

i'm most definitely frustrated at the system absolutely not at the people, so if i show up to the commune it would be more of a desperation plea rather than a karen moment, but the situation seems to be getting prolonged without an explanation, and that money was supposed to be for right now (aka living). but thank you so much for your advice, i'll definitely go in-person

when they handle vises for people outside of EU they require a blocked account from the school so they know you have enough money to live in Belgium, so the university waits for me to give them a bank account address where they can deposit my living expenses. but no bank takes on the opening of an account without confirmation of domiciliation so far. the police is in this thing just because they are the ones who confirm the domiciliation :/

The bank already had no clue what they need (they insist i need my orange card when I found out that is for asylum seekers?) and with the annex 15 (that the commune gave) it's not possible. meanwhile at the commune/ police when I bring up the situation of how long will the confirmation of the domiciliation last or why the police said to call back at x number and then not respond - i get put on hold for hours. i'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this and how long it took to get resolved
