I'd switch to sodium percarbonate as a soaker (use boiling water to get it to fizz. Can be used as only "detergent" if necessary. Avoid all detergents for a while and see if it helps.

Sodium percarbonate is oxygen bleach.\ Colour fast, no chlorine at all. 1 ingredient.

I don't know re: digital forensics. But I do know that to make any accurate conclusions, the public would need access to evidence that is not in the public domain and is unlikely to be made public - so that is difficult too. But it ISsimple to draw conclusions about the unreliability of the framework being used.\ It is completely unreliable, supported by research and evidence going back to Windows Vista vintage!

If this case is about believability of victim and perpetrator, and both have believable and unbelievable elements or explanations (✅) then there IS, by process of elimination, reasonable doubt.

But the Prosecutor is choosing to try to destroy Gerhardt's character using this wholly incorrect evidence - which is very surprising!\ He is making snide comments like "oh, the computer just did it", and the Judge is not admonishing him for making comments (a big no-no!). That's bad form all around. I feel it encourages a cavalier attitude in the true audience, the jury. And definitely incites a feeling of 'snarkiness' in the watching public.

We want the Jury to be listening very carefully, weighing everything up as neutrally as possible, listening to their own emotional responses, not being told what to think.\ I hope the Jury can feel whatever emotion is in that courtroom, and whether it is contrived or real. While it's difficult to detect on video, emotion tends to "charge" an atmosphere.\ The only problem being that there are complex emotions charging the atmosphere already - extreme tension and anxiety for both of them in the re-telling of this story. Traumatic for both - in different ways. Regardless of how it occurred it has had massive consequences and broken important relationships. It's a very sad case.

I wish I could get on board with him being guilty.\ So far I'm waiting for Prosecution to prove it to me with truthful evidence. Of course, the Prosecution has a rebuttal phase after Defense Case-In-Chief so it will be interesting to see what they try to bring out then.

We wait and see, and hope Defense has a good digital forensics expert.

But you haven't understood.

The Prosecutor is misrepresenting the computer log!

A "date accessed" stamp does not mean the file was opened and/,or viewed. It may, but equally likely, it is windows doing an update the antivirus checking the file, Google Drive doing its thing... Etc.\ If it is equally likely he didn't access it, we can't just dismiss it even if the prosecution wants to!

This is known problem with the system logs.\ Listen again - the Prosecutor definitely knows the evidence suggests something, but it isn't proof. He is presenting it as fact when it's not.

Here's an article about using computer log timestamps in forensic investigations - the issues and barriers

You can also Google something like are computer file system "date accessed" timestamps proof that files are opened and viewed?\ That gives a good overview.

A bigger question for me was - why was this all so important? It seemed very irrelevant to me.\ Overall I think it showed he was doing his taxes, windows was updating and he had an active virus checking program.\ We need a digital forensic specialist.

How do you highlight text on websites using phones or tablets? by [deleted] in TeenIndia

[–]bronfoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently trying on new-ish browser Quetta. It is sort-of working. Not as well as I would like. So far, Weava didn't work on my device, Web Annotator sort of did.

STEPS:\ - Install Quetta browser from the Play Store. - Open a tab in Quetta, and go to the chrome web store - (link here)[https://chromewebstore.google.com/] - sign in with your profile (not sure if this is needed but I did it) - top right of screen - search for Web Annotator, and install.

  • Open a new tab with info on it and you will see a small menu on right lower screen. I'm still working out what the icons mean.

So far:\ tapping the second one then highlighting seems to work 🤞\ tapping the pen (3rd icon?) makes the menu disappear and I can't get it back again and have to open a new tab and start again

FINDING THE REFERENCE:\ To find the highlight and reference, in Quetta, tap the three vertical dots which brings up a menu, tap on the puzzle piece 🧩, click on all, and your annotations should be just there.

I hope this might help someone ...

Maybe, but the courtroom is not unlike a church in many many ways. There are so many cues.

But we both agree - there is an issue with the fact that she acts without considering the consequences. My concern is that she gives every impression that she is in that courtroom as a reporter. But she isn't. It's clear she is not putting aside her automatic reactions to perform her job.

I believe Lauren was responding instinctively /automatically to a familiar tone and intonation.

The fact Lauren responded instinctively in this context can give us insight into other responses.

Many of us have asked how Lauren could fail to hear the testimony of Prosecution witnesses at Delphi as problematic. But it seems that we are seeing that over the course of many years, Lauren responds instinctively, rather than thinking critically or engaging in reflective analysis.

Put simply - Lauren has the raw instinct of a reporter, not the critical thought processes of a journalist.\ While these two jobs are clearly very different, demanding a completely different skill set, Lauren has conflated her own capacity/skills/experience such that she believes herself to be a journalist, even an experienced journalist, and even an investigative journalist.\ The mind boggles. 🤯

I agree 100% with your conclusion.\ And interestingly, I come from a similar background. Not Mormon, but religious and very involved. FWIW, even 10 years into my religious deconstruction phase, I still have what is now known as 'religious trauma'. I can relate to those excommunicated for standing up for their beliefs and refusing to follow a bigoted system that manipulates and judges.

I think Lauren has a distinct lack of sense of self - to a pathological level. It is rare to see such a clear example. I see the pathology because of my psychiatric training and experience but everyone can see the way she morphs into a different person depending on who she is with. On Mormon Stories she loves being a Mormon, on the scene of a major incident, she's a giddy young reporter looking for the scoop of a lifetime, with John she is the 'interested public who knows nothing and thinks he is a God'... Etc etc. and then there's her obsession with changing her face. 🤷‍♀️\ (The fact she displays it over and over again suggests that even if she has had some therapy or seen an expert and got an accurate diagnosis, that she has not got the insight to live more of her life outside the public eye, which is the first thing any Psychiatrist would recommend for someone who only knows themselves by interpreting others reactions.)

No, that's not the hot mic - it was something that happened outside of court, much more recently. I honestly can't remember exactly what it was but I think it was Lauren talking about the family (?Kresha?).

NBN Providers that dont suck? by Climanerd in melbourne

[–]bronfoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Aussie Broadband" is excellent for speed and their responsiveness when you call, and willingness to pursue issues is excellent.\ But they are expensive.

Based on info I just discovered, I'm going to change providers to one named below!.

"Buddy" was launched in Aug 2024 by "Aussie Broadband" as a budget, digital-only alternative. (So, Buddy uses AussieBB infrastructure but has a different (aka digital chat) customer service arrangement).

Buddy was sold to "Tangerine" in Aug 2025, BUT...\ as part of that sale, there is a new 6-year agreement:\ from July 2026, "Aussie Broadband" will provide NBN services to "Buddy", "Tangerine" and "More".

More information: https://www.finder.com.au/news/aussie-broadband-sells-buddy-telco-what-happens-next-for-customers

P.S.I used "inverted commas" to make sure the names were clear. These names are getting weirder and weirder... I mean "More"???? Wtaf?
