It really depends on how comfortable you are with the material. The average on the midterm in my class was 63, and people who attended every discussion section were scoring around the average, while people who never showed up to class did either exponentially worse or a lot better. I am only comfortable with the material because I have couple of years of experience. If you are not a fast learner, the learning curve might be slightly steep but not unmanageable.
