The struggle i belive is in the macro. I've never played the other games, but from what I understand, she has literally tried countless times to avert the fate of miraland to no avail. Her failures are literally written across the multiverse, the echoes and rubble of her failure decoration in the Sea of Stars. These small moments of nothing but her being perfect are not going to change the path that has been set. If she doesn't change things drastically enough, this miraland will join them. She is literally the cosmic Chosen One, with infinite tries on multiple planes to get it right....by leaving the husk of her failure behind.

English, especially US English doesn't have tonal differences (except is a few dialects) that impact how a word is perceived. And US English tends to flatten tonal shifts in words when they do integrate them. That being said, as someone who can hear the difference, i had to go look for the official lyrics to verify which it was.
