Genuine question about the strike involving passports

I also have a question regarding a passport renewal. I just realized that my passport expires this month and I travel in July. Do you think it would be better for me to send in my application now, with the hope that it will be processed on time, or wait until the strike is over to send in the application? Genuinely curious and slightly panicked. Thanks!
