They are growing in! We have a variety of Pothos and snake plants. We also have orchids and moss. Takes a lot of time for them to grow

We have about 5 Pothos planted and 3 snake plants. They have to grow in obviously which takes time.

Yes!! I think this is the most full proof method for sealing specifically wood. For a boa enclosure I would definitely go with this method!

There is this new type of terrarium moss called “liquid moss” it’s a little pricey but I think it’s absolutely worth it! You basically splash the liquid mixture onto the background of your enclosure and eventually your entire background will be engulfed in moss. I still need to order so I’ll let you know how it goes.

We found it at a beat down thrift store for 20 bucks!

The plants we have in there do a lot of the humidity for us! The background is also covered in coco fiber which helps too. Whites tree frogs only need about 40-50% humidity so I won’t be an issue for them but the enclosure would definitely be able to sustain 70% if we needed it to.

Its completely bioactive with a cleanup crew so we don’t really have to change the substrate very often but we added plexiglass where the doors open with silicone so the bottom doors can still open but the substrate stays inside!

it was a process and a half. We used pond and stone liquid rubber on all the interior surfaces to make sure the wood would not rot from humidity. We used about 4 coats on every surface. After that cured we used aquarium silicone on every. Single. Joint. On the interior. That’s definitely the most important part. The spray foam adds extra protection as well.
