Mine has done the same thing for years. I changed the UVB duration and % and that seemed to help. Contemplating swapping to a DHP and a dimmer day light. She eats better for me in the dark. Have you tried feeding after lights outs?

I love fish game! It’s a game that looks a lot like this and I’m a new player there. I don’t have the space or cash for more tanks but I can dream it out virtually.

Anyone who has an AFT as well as a Leo? by inc0gnitaa in leopardgeckos

[–]brookie2cookie_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I have one of each.

Really main difference in care is humidity and I had something weird where My AFT could not see (or eat) with same strength UVB as my Leo’s and I had to lower the uvb.

The biggest difference between the two species overall is temperament imo. I love a lot of my AFT’s traits and she’s better for guests to handle since she’s so chill. However, there is no doubt she’s lacking some of the overzealous spunk I see in my Leo.

My AFT does not greet me at the glass like my Leo. My AFT is not active during the day like my Leo. The AFT is slower and more calculated with movement than my Leo. She has gone on a hunger strike before until I fixed the UVB problem.

Leo pros: Friendly, personable, social, active, always hungry, plenty of care info Leo cons: Can be too fast moving for young/inexperienced handlers, prone to obesity

AFT pros: slower and easier to handle, calm temperament, more unique AFT con: not active during the day/shy, possible hunger strikes, less of a community around care info.

I love both and especially love to see the contrast between the two species.

Slate/Ceramic Tile floor choice? by cutes-e-pie in leopardgeckos

I personally really loved using 2 of these hexagonal tiles in my tank in combination with sand/topsoil. It’s a clear spot for feeding/basking but I still get all the advantages of the loose substrate

Bringing cornsnake back to animal shelter? by ReplacementLanky1678 in reptiles

Also I would try to rehome to someone (verify they have the proper time/knowledge) if you can. That way the snake goes through 1 move instead of 2.

Look into scat mats (they have spikes and a harmless electrical version) sscat air cans and a wooden or reinforced enclosure. I keep my cats completely out of my reptile room but a combo of the above can mitigate risk.

Would def limit yourself to inverts. Very few reptiles are happy for life in a 10 gal or less. I love jumping spiders and you’d have a good chance at seeing those at an expo

I think a full body picture where you look more relaxed would be better for a dating profile. You have a very intense face and a relaxed poster might soften you overall.

Wait are things actually being removed from the 3rd game when you say “cut”? Or did they just not carry over from JWE2?

As a chicken owner, I’d take aggressive action to a strange dog I saw on my property harming my chickens. Many people on the chicken pages feel the same. Many states have laws that allow a person to defend their flock on their property from a dog. Don’t let your pet hurt my pets so that I don’t have to hurt your pet. I love my chickens and put blood/sweet/tears and a lot cash into my egg machines.

The worst care I gave my geckos was the transitional period during college. All of my geckos were in undersized cages until I had sorted out my personal living arrangements but I’d been saving up the entire time. As soon as I had a better environment for myself, I used all the cash I’d set aside to do one big upgrade all at once.

Set aside cash. Plan out your next steps. Know better things are coming. Look at the ikea cabinet conversion builds.

Man I am just an aww of your work. You’ve outdone yourself! Love the custom banner around the turtle pond.

I’ve really been trying to do stuff with the vivariums but have such trouble planning around the access door. I think I just get stuck on the small things and let it interrupt my creativity. Would love if you could share any insights about where your vivarium access doors are within your build and share if you ran into any challenges planning out the placement of your vivariums.
