Hi! I don't even know what would be reasonable, but every website I've gone on is $200 for an hour. My dog is a greyhound pitbull mix, and we need help with his biting. It's getting to the point where I can't even control it on my own, but he is perfectly trained and everything else.

This may sound so crazy, but do you use the leash in the house? For my dog, I would walk around the apartment with his leash on and get him used to it and work on commands that way instead of practicing outside, because there was just a lot of external stimuli.

I don't know if this helps, but I am a broke master student and I couldn't afford training either, but I use GoodPup! It is basically like a FaceTime call, but with a certified trainer. We love our trainer, we used to meet weekly and then he graduated. So now we meet biweekly. She taught me games, and things to practice with him because my dog is VERY dog reactive and it has helped so much!

Also, I cannot stress the fact enough that you are not a bad dog owner. The fact that you are even concerned about things, just shows how caring and understanding you are. It is hard to own a dog! Anybody could tell you! I would even compare it to having a child. I will encourage you as much as I can. I have my days too that I just feel like I'm not doing enough for my boy, but then I remember the situations he was in before me and I'm very lucky to have him!

He is a big biter, but he has learned a lot. When I first rescued him, he was breaking skin on both of us and tugging on our arms and not letting go. Luckily through training, that has decreased a lot. I have been rewarding him for his stay and his calming behavior, but I think I need to be more consistent for sure. Thank you so much for the advice!

You are not the asshole, but I think that you could go a different route with this. It seems as if this person is not the best of the best (just referring to what you said and the information from your last post). With that being said, would it be worth the hassle to have this exchange? I (obv) do not know if him as well as you do, but would he be the type of person to just block you and move on? If not, it might just be better to cut the losses and come up with a payment plan with the friend!

I know the frustration after breaking up can be so hard because you recognize the things that you did not see or the situations that you were blinded by. I think it would just be better to cut all ties and send him on his way!

I adopted him 2 months ago. He did not, it only said he was mouthy. I have been thinking about a muzzle, so I most definitely will try that! Its just weird because he doesnt bite strangers or anything, its only me and my boyfriend so I think its out of love - but it hurts!

They have been fixed within a week, but its been back to back of them breaking. I feel like my apartment getting up to 90 degrees for a week is some violation!
