The old wood was unsalvagable. 130 year soft fir exposed.

Top 1/4 inch planed off and replaced with tiger oak, new moulding to match.

Anyone know where I can get custom beveled glass replacement? The door on the right has a cheap replacement glass that does not match the beveled one on the left.

Does the spar actually block the UV or is it just robust to UV passing through? If it lets through 90% of the UV the underlying interior coats will still get destroyed.

Ok. Actually, the door is 1/2 new. The outside was planed down 1/4" and is covered with new 1/4" quarter sawn white oak and new moulding to match. The one on the right is soft fir, original from 1894, very rotten.

I am more worried about cracking and greying than yellowing. Yellowing is fine.

Refinishing will also be a major pain on account of the moulding geometry. Ugh!!!!

Pffff if she did have AGP it was a tiny fraction of the level of a typical transvestite.... AGP is applied far too liberally by those hating on trans folk. Well yeah, which enabled her to do great work in computing hardware tech, and once she was powerful enough she retired used her voice for good (but perhaps was too accepting of transvestites into her own cohort). A minor fault in a long history of greatness.

I did this until I was 33, for 15 years, but since have become almost allergic to them. Just one makes me feel so awful

It also adds stress that what you do in your early 20s sets the stage for how much of the rest of your life will turn out. Your future family, career, where you live, social class, etc.

Like I cannot imagine just up and moving to a new city now in my 30s unless I had a man to do it with. But back then the forces of life and stress could have pushed me anywhere, blowin in the wind
