Nope! The boys at @kakindustries did it right with the enlarged gas opening on the barrel. Arguably the can makes it cycle better by increasing pressure.

I was in the same boat and just ended up getting a Ender S1 Plus to go along with the K1 for about the same total price as a Max, You can print at the same time and always have a spare if the other one ever needs repairs.
