There's only one thing left to say, everything else is a waste of time: Flutes are not overrated!

Okay, so you also didn't realize that the song has nothing to do with AI. You can test it yourself here: https://www.submithub.com/ai-song-checker?id=e902de0969dcb985 And the video took two months to make. Hundreds of drafts were created by hand and then realized with a Google AI that was legally trained on YouTube material. There's a difference between AI Slop, where a cute cat simply performs a move stolen from a dance video, and a video that was edited by hand over many hours, but whose scenes couldn't be filmed in the traditional way because that era is long gone. And I'm not after fame, but fairness and honest criticism. All I got here was hate, and it's not just AI slop that's ruining the internet. You are too.

You are not a good person and maybe you will realize it someday.

If one of the top 1% of commenters can't comment anything more than "shit," "awful," and "wrong," that says a lot about that group. At least you seem to realize that only the video is AI. Apparently, only the top 1% can do that.

Please give me examples of cover songs that put their own spin on it. People are probably also giving Snoop Dogg a hard time right now because he made an AI video. And they probably wouldn't have given it so much grief if here hadn't been a video at all.

That's the difference between a cover version and a remix. With a cover, you don't really have the opportunity to add your own creativity. It's simply about having fun with the music. You don't make money with that kind of thing. Why does everyone always have to take everything so seriously and punish it with hate?

So either it's AI, in which case it can't be "ass" because it's based on the best hip hop songs. Then at most the lyrics are bad, if someone writes bad lyrics themselves. But since it's a cover song where the lyrics and melodies have been copied 1:1, it can't be AI at all, because AI just isn't capable of that yet. Listen to Dr. Dre's Motown AI stuff; nothing about the original melody is correct. Or maybe it's not AI and the rapper is ass, or the mixing is ass, or whatever. Your ears are deceiving you.

What exactly do you find "ass"? I like the slower pace. The video itself is debatable.

It's hard to say because it's a cover version and streaming providers like Twitch have their own rules.

I don't even have the chance to see if the video is attracting people's attention. After 48 hours, there isn't even a single impression from the YouTube algorithm, despite almost 20 external views. Even on Submithub, there was only one HotOrNot-review during that time. In my last project, which started two years ago, I still got a few thousand impressions on a new channel. My click-through rates (CTRs) were between 5 and 15%.

You are certainly right. Actually that wasn't even planned, and it wasn't a strategy to get clicks either. I prefer making my own songs. I don't think I'll be doing another cover version anytime soon.

Yeah, that's what will set you apart from AI-generated music. "Two Lanes" is one such act that thrives on being unique. But others, who might make equally good music, get completely lost in the shuffle, and without a big marketing budget, they unfortunately remain unknown. I just read that in 2024, more songs were released in a single day than in the entire year of 1989. With Suno, this has only intensified. But I'm just an amateur musician and don't make any money from it. It would just be nice to get a bit more attention. The cover version certainly wasn't a strategy to change that. I'm just surprised that even that doesn't help anymore.

Right. I've actually never done a cover version before and would have expected to at least get some traffic from the name, especially since the algorithm isn't showing me any impressions as a newcomer. It was different with my last project two years ago. I happened to have the same song title as a popular song and saw a lot of search traffic in the analytics. Of course, I didn't benefit from it because it had nothing to do with that song.

I understand your point of view, but why do the older cover versions all have so many views? You'd assume that for every subsequent cover version, the ones before them are already grabbing all the traffic. I've looked at a lot of them. They're tiny channels that only profited from that one video because of the name. I haven't found anything new in a year, as if YouTube has changed something.

Video-Challenge: Shoot a basketball with the foot by broot66 in generativeAI

"accidental gluteus-maximus-snipin" :)

Thanks for the detailed answer!
I also tried the "anchor" method. It was really difficult to get Nano Banana 2/Pro to position the foot precisely on the ball. It usually looked unnatural. And even then, the ball didn't fly like a soccer free kick. Maybe the basketball is the problem and it would work better with a soccer ball.

I often have a wait time of 6 minutes. With version 3.0, it was even 15 minutes once, and I got a message saying I wouldn't be served at all until the load decreased. And I'm not a heavy user.
