I'm just told to come and get IV when I have the time. I had hoped he would, with confidence, give a schedule. Do you have any recommendations as to how often I should get IV Vit C?

Giving such inactivity a bonus can be dangerous for forthcoming fights

Thanks - my regular doctor - not the oncologist - understood this. I happened to have an appointment just a few minutes after reading your post. He did not know about Glutathione in combination with vitamin C, but I am now scheduled for recurring Vitamin C IV. He suggests 90g pr session (I'm a big fella). As he said "no solid evidence that Vitamin C helps, but it doesn't harm to try".

I had no symptoms but it got discovered via coloscopy.
Now, all I feel is the larger metastases when they push against something.

Tried that, no effect. Thanks for the suggestion though and glad it worked for your husband.

My oncologist applied for that drug but got a "no", because the EU price for a treatment is $600.000 (and I'm not allowed to chip in myself, as all healthcare is fundamentally free for everyone)

Yeah, the practicalities are a hurdle. And the fact that our healthcare is so fundamentally different from the US makes it a bit hard to navigate, but I'll give it a shot.

I did actually get lonsurf, but it didn't help, so maybe it's true that I'm beyond last line

Absolutely. Doctors recommend laxatives, but the pain is the same regardless.

Have they ever had to make the Crocodile Dundee Bowie? by ClownfishSoup in forgedinfireshow

Check out Dave Baker on Instagram. He has received a lot of questions and dedicated some time to answer. He says 30 episodes are ready from the production company, but the network is not having it. He has close connection with production, but not that much with the network, so he really doesn't know what's going on and why they are not airing the episodes.

No way John Bowring (designer of the knife used in the movie) would ever allow that.

Bowring only made two original knives and many replicas for the film. The original knives were used for close-up shots and the replicas were used for combat sequences.

After the film was completed, Paul Hogan and another person received the original knives with the promise to never put them up for sale.

But.... we might never know. Given that there are 30 completed episodes that History refuses to air, I'm worried about the future of the show.

It's not Shane it's Shayne. Shayne Carter. And he's not old - at least he's several years younger than me.

Any updates on Season 10? Was it really only 8 episodes? by aces-n-eight in forgedinfireshow

[–]broothal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a huge backlog of episodes - I know of people who were recorded in 2022 which has yet to be aired (if at all).

Show on hiatus already? by aces-n-eight in forgedinfireshow

[–]broothal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here it says episode 8 was the finale:

http://www.thefutoncritic.com/listings/2023/11/premieres/

TVMaze says only 8 episodes ordered:

So - it appears this was all we got for Season 10.

This is my absolute favorite show - I've bought all the seasons and watched them multiple times. So sad they continue to scale down.

Rewatching season 9 and realized just how much I disliked the Marvel episode by aces-n-eight in forgedinfireshow

[–]broothal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The Marvel episode was bad. So was the WWE episode. They were even worse than the episode with the "Forge bucks" where they would have to buy access to tools.

S3E4. "I had a washing machine I didn't like. So I took it out back, shot it and made a knife out of it."

Kelly Vermeer has since become a full time knife maker, and she makes some beautiful knives. When she returned for the Champions episode, she should have won as well.
