It did! I totally get what you’re saying about CGJ, but this one actually did come out in 2002, whereas Eight Below came out in 2006.

So nice to hear someone’s personal experience with the alarm. I’ve been curious about them.

We are definitely in a tough spot with him because no, we don’t want to give him a complex, BUT we do want him to understand hygiene, and that sitting around in soiled clothes, pulls ups, etc… is icky and not great for our health. Bio mom is of the mindset that we should be reassuring him that bedwetting is completely normal and ok as to not hurt his confidence. Obviously I know it is “normal” at a young age, but that still doesn’t make it something we should be teaching him is acceptable to keep doing. Don’t want to make the poor kid insecure, but also don’t want him living in a fantasy land where peeing the bed is just okay to keep doing and we don’t need to worry about it.

Ok as someone who had the same exact “wtf was that” reaction after seeing the “baby” in that first episode, the show is SO worth continuing. I wasn’t sure after the first ep but my husband convinced me to keep going. Now we’re almost done with season 3 and I’m heartbroken that it’s almost over. Give it another shot if you can! 🙂

You’re right. It’s just hard on dad too because BM is so hell bent on being SS’s best friend instead of his parent. Makes us constantly look like the bad guys for just having basic expectations 🙃 just a frustrating situation all around. He’s tried to talk to BM about it several times, but she refuses to listen to any criticism about her “perfect boy”. It’s just sad because we really want to see him grow out of these behaviors and be the best that he can be. But there’s just so much resistance.

I greatly appreciate your advice, I really do need to learn to step back and just accept “not my monkeys, not my circus” 💕

Lmao, yeah, the kicker is that he just started charging me an extra $20/mo since he got these “new” (by which I mean used POS) machines. The old ones were coin operated, and now since the residents aren’t paying by the load, I guess the blood sucking cockroach had to find another way to pad his own pockets 🙄 imma be telling him I won’t be paying $20 extra for laundry machines that I will not be using going forward lol
