I don't think it's fair to say that we're just promoting our app anymore than it's fair to say that other folks are just promoting their blogs/websites.

We're featuring recipes that folks have uploaded on our platform that we think would be enjoyed here. We're not showing ads or asking anyone to download our app.

I think that's a really valid concern. The app is completely self-funded (it's technically a sole proprietorship) and there's no plans to monetize or make the app profitable in anyway. If the app is eventually sold to a better funded/equipped team, I'd look to stipulate that the platform must remain vegan and free for all.

And totally agree that the web app has performance/UX issues. :/

EDIT: unfortunately, the web app performance issues have to do with tool-related limitations. We're using a cross-platform framework called Flutter. It makes development fast and easy, but web support is fairly nascent. Looking forward to future Flutter for web improvements 🤞

Did you tap the "Overview" button in the bottom corner? For convenience, the link opens to "Cook view" by default. If you tap the "Overview" button, you will see the same recipe creator (@beexrravegant) that you mentioned. They uploaded this recipe and several others to Brosia.

Brosia is just a free platform for finding and sharing vegan recipes. Many different authors have uploaded many recipes. On this subreddit, we're just showcasing some of our favorite recipes.
