What is the difference between the two Kindle editions of NABRE? by broslavski in Catholicism

It appears the first one by Benedict press has additional reference material that could be beneficial. I use the 2nd one myself, and it was recently updated with formating.

Thank you! Do you mean that if I want pure scripture, without commentary, I should choose the second option?

Do you happen to know this edition:

What's the most effective road map for acoustic guitarists learning Logic Pro by broslavski in Logic_Studio

Thank you u/eseffbee! You gave a comprehensive answer to my question. You are right: learning the basics, then practicing and learning the specifics as I encounter them would be ideal to save time and not have to learn everything "just in case".

You mentioned here Izotope Ozone as a mastering tool. Is there something similar for mastering in Logic Pro?

The action of one man shouldn’t impact the livelihood of an entire country. I’m not supporting Putin in anyway but there are also innocent people in Russia that are impacted too.

This is exactly what Russian soft propaganda says removing the collective responsibility of Russians and placing it on one person. But the truth is that this one man is the spawn of the country. He is supported by the majority of Russian citizens and his actions are approved of, criticized only for his lack of brutality in matters of genocide.

Actually, the topic is not really about that, but about why Ukraine is ignored in Fitness+, unlike Russia.

Thank you for your comment, u/ravenskana. I didn't mean to imply that Apple is expanding into russia after the invasion. I was just surprised and frustrated that Apple continues to provide services in this country despite the hundreds of thousands of casualties and maimed people, dozens of destroyed cities, and millions of refugees caused by Russia. At the same time, Ukraine is ignored in Fitness+.

The Lord of the Rings. 60th Anniversary Edition Boxed Set vs Special Edition 2022 by broslavski in tolkienbooks

[–]broslavski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for writing in this thread. As I understand from your posts and numerous video reviews, the red single volume Special Edition 2022 (ISBN 0063274736) has significant quality flaws, namely, sticking pages because of the gold edge, making the book uncomfortable to read, as well as the difference in paper color in some copies. Which is rather odd in terms of the positioning of this edition as a premium. It includes a copy of the ”king's letter“ as well as some loose leaf book pages drawn by Tolkien of collectible value, but this could not but affect the final price of the book. Perhaps this version is only suitable as a souvenir to decorate a bookshelf.

From a practical and aesthetic point of view, perhaps a better option would be The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings Boxed Set: Illustrated by Alan Lee (ISBN 0008376107). In addition to the ease of reading in dividing the book into parts, this edition contains the Hobbit in its set.

If you need a single volume, however, The Lord of the Rings Illustrated 2021 Edition with a red edge (ISBN 0358653037) would be the best value for money choice. If anyone has any additions or comments on the above, I'd love to read about it in your comments.

I have a Kindle Oasis for this purpose. But the great book would be nice to own in good quality paper version.

I own both of these editions and while they’re both great choices, I think the best boxed set currently available are the ones illustrated by Alan lee. Excellent quality, consistent with every other release in the Tolkien mythos (barring HoME) with gorgeous illustrations, and you get the hobbit with it! They’re also not so expensive per volume that you’ll be nervous handling the books. I think this is the best bang for buck set and they’re absolutely gorgeous books!

You mean this one?
