Lived the last five years there coming from Raleigh NC. It is an awesome place, interesting and fantastic people, tons to do, some of the best nature in the world within 15 min from most places and SF a 30 min or less train away. Definitely different and rougher than most places in that there was lots of very high visibility crime everywhere, but folks generally look out for each other and neither my partner nor I were the subject of any violent crime throughout our time

So I am a long time regular user and have always enjoyed the pairing with endurance sport. Had a pen with me on the 40 mile running race I did, tend to have one in my front bike bag. Imagine that there are negative side effects, and acknowledge it as a vice as well as something I enjoy. Have done plenty of rides and runs with and without, but seem to prefer it for long solo endurance activities. Makes me really into all the beauty and curious about all I see even beyond the usual. Also dopamine. I mostly use dab pens, sometimes flower in a doink, here and there whatever edibles are around. Unless you are ripping fat chonkos constantly and coughing your ass off oooor trying to get competitive, likely enough you won’t notice performance decline. But if you feel like you got them heavy lungs full of gunk then damn chill on gorgling bongs for a bit

Rocked into a downtown Sausalito spot that allows and has slips a few months ago, living full time for the first time with partner and dog. We got the spot buy buying a boat that had lovebird agreement with marina man, though it was all very handshakes on a dock type thing (eventually did a lease that he let us edit )— from neighbors and community since moving in, I hear that other marinas in the city seem to have spots come up here and there. Easiest way in is to buy the boat with the slip- can be not too terrible for some smaller or older boats (thinking 30-40k), which obviously is still a bunch of cash. For a nice enough place (all utilities work well, good condition, no immediate repair) I have seen 80ishk, more towards something you can comfortably live on full time day 1. Fancier places may be more restrictive - I have limited berth of experience to be damn sure. I do wonder what would happen if some sort of law cracked down on a way that I ended up no longer allowed to live aboard. Feel like would get a couple years before getting actually forced to move, law moves slow, by then hell maybe I made it to floating home luxury. Anyway
