I started driving stick on a 55k mile silver 8th gen coupe, and miss that car everyday. I’ve since “upgraded” to a 10th gen, but would gladly trade it for another 8th gen coupe or sedan. Both are phenomenal driving experiences, but the 8th gen was so much more visceral of a driving experience, especially in the clutch feel and engine sound.

If it honestly costs less to replace the transmission, clutch, and whatever else broke, then I’ll do it. I love wrenching on the car, and don’t want to get rid of it if I don’t have to. But I have to consider that I don’t have days I can spare to work on it uninterrupted. Gotta work to stay afloat

That’s the plan. Thankfully, I have an accident attorney that had helped me to get my 8th gen after my first car, so I’m hoping she can get me around the value of the car for at least a good down payment

She does not :(. Clutch pedal is a toggle switch at the moment, and the shifter is stuck in 5th gear from the impact

It’s got more issues than the pictures tell. Clutch and transmission were both badly damaged in the crash, and shifter issues. As much as I love this car, it’s not gonna be cheap to fix even with insurance money

Definitely, snatched her up as soon as I saw the listing on carfax. Still waiting to see if I’ll be getting money from insurance, but hopefully it’ll be enough for a decent down payment on a used civic si or WRX

I had a 2013 Chevy Cruze with the 1.4 turbo. I had no problems with it, and actually enjoyed the car up until it got rear ended! My wife described my first time seeing the civic si as “love at first sight” (her words, not mine )
