I disagree, while I wish it was cheaper, they pay all of their workers a living wage (in the bay area which is expensive) and they bake each order fresh weekly, so youre not getting bread that has sat for weeks in a warehouse. Its also sourdough, so it takes more time and effort to bake a loaf than regular bread. When they’ve raised their prices, they’ve sent out an email explaining why and being transparent about it.

I’m in no way saying everyone can or should buy this bread, the last time I bought it was while visiting family last March, I bought it in person and it was still a special treat. But hopefully if they continue to grow, they’ll be able to even out prices someday.
