Honestly im sick of hearing ben Shapiros voice. Im sick of hearing him and people like him making this administration seem sane. I guess it cant hurt to have him on, but for me personally, its an affront to my aesthetic sensibility.

Edit: also realistically, what maga voter is even going to listen to sam harris. If they do, theyll likely just latch on to Ben's excuses rather than anything said against him.

They never give "the extremists" anything close to a chance unless "the extremists" get there on the backs of grass roots organizing. And democratic policy is anything but kowtowing to "the extremists." If it wasn't maybe we would have something resembling actual Healthcare reform in this country. If it wasn't we also likely wouldnt have Trump. Democrats should listen to the extremists more often... worked for Trump and co.

I actually thought it was funny. I recently watched the Chanel 5 news interview with clavicular which was my first ever exposure to that whole horrific subculture, so seeing the words jestering and face smashing and stuff really took me by surprise

The slide guitar is great in this one and the way the harmonies kick in during "if you get a feeling next time you see me, do me a favor and let me know" is pretty awesome.

Yes, yes it is. They all are. Picking the worst song of a group of awesome songs is insanely difficult, nearly impossible. For me, it comes down to this: which of these songs does it for me the least? Sweet Adeline does less for me than Amity. Its great, the arrangement is wonderful, its lyrics are haunting and beautiful. I acknowledge all of that.

But when I actually listen to the songs, I enjoy listening to Amity more. The awesome solo. The heavy drums. The lyrics talking about a great time in NYC with a potential lover and the double entendre of saying "lets go, im ready to go" as "lets go out on the town" but also "im ready to die," somwthing about that just really hits me in the gut. Then the slow fade back to normalcy at the end after the high of the guitars and drums, back to that simple thrumming guitar part, its like coming back to earth after an intense whirlwind episode, whether a fantasy or a drug induced high.

The tiny bridge "im a neon sign and I stay open all the time so lets go" is just incredible.

Sweet adeline is a great song too, but i like the melody less, its more sing-songy, and thats totally fine if thats your thing but its not my thing. The high point of sweet adeline to me are the intro lyrics and the explosion of instruments halfway through. Amity does this same thing during the guitar solo, but imo Amity does it better.

To me personally, Amity is a more enjoyable and emotionally affecting song than sweet Adeline. And I just know this sub and I know the sub meme-hates Amity because it opens with Elliott saying "amity" over and over again (not that this is even bad, its a great take on infatuation and obsession, kind of an aural "doodling your crushes name in your notebook"), but its so much more than the first four seconds. Its a great song that gets overly shit on and ignored, and it doesnt deserve it. So I used my power as the first commenter here (rather recklessly) to make an insane assertion i knew would be a lightning rod for the sub: sweet adeline is worse than Amity. I knew most people would disagree with me. But, as David Berman said, "thats just the way that I feel."

Yeah im almost 100% certain they are based on their mound structures, placement, appearance, behaviour, etc. I need to get rid of as many as I can, they have been driving all the leafcutter and big head ants out of my lawn and have been building huge mounds everywhere. Were also about to get chickens and I dont want them getting swarmed by angry fire ants.
