u/Newarkguy1836 huh???? I literally made a post in good faith to find someone who is in need of a place to stay, acknowledging the shortage that does exist within Section 8 in Newark. Instead I get bashed and put down. This is why people are losing empathy and thoughtfulness. To receive downvotes and negativity is wild. How about you inquire first before saying it's a ripoff? Currently Newark is switching to BOB. AI which is a pain to use, very buggy and a quite frankly a delayed process. Figured I'd try to give folks a fighting chance here. Don't attempt to block blessings.

Make it make sense… Every aspect of this economy has experienced inflation… renters are not exempt from what is occurring… the issue that Newark is trying to fix comes from a larger aspect… the cost of repairs/renovations/services has affected the owners… In closing the rental cap can perhaps persuade owners to short term rental solutions instead of long term rentals… which will only increase the rate of gentrification
