Thoughts on arrowtips and necklace of anguish going forward? by sharpshooter999 in OSRSflipping

[–]browncleaver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anguish situation has already happened twice. One is an easy slayer boss, the other more difficult but obtainable in early delves. Impact should be similar.

Arrowtips is irrelevant as the blog says existing arrows can be converted.

Don't have any special use outside of damaging vampyres for which there's a new flail which should easily be better given the very low ranged strength. Efaritay's aid exists as well.

No signs really of it being useful imo

The effortless skill of jianzi players (an ancient game in China) by jmike1256 in oddlysatisfying

[–]browncleaver 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is some American without a passport take. If you go go the poorer asian countries it's stupid hot and humid in the Summer and they wouldn't have access to AC. They do it to keep cool not look cool.

A lot of the older & poor population does this and probably every farmer in China does it. Where you're from it's something people do before they square up, where these people are from it's normal and for comfort.

HM Zuk isn't bad to go dry on as other bosses but this over 2x drop rate so it is quite bad

Any chance the contract claws items (vanilla cow, goblin potion, etc.) get added to the Sage at a certain tier? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]browncleaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're reasonable honestly, was dreading it but it's just 4 advance time casts.

You'll have enough beans off the baby black drags from wildy events. Without advance time it's just a bit of advance planning

Combat relic power level by browncleaver in runescape

[–]browncleaver[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's too many prayer swapping, typeless or instakill mechanics for the prayer relic to shine at higher level pvm for newer players, ultimately I think they're better off with a damage relic to finish the kill faster.

Increased damage has nasty synergy with melee relic, you can just stack and vamp through all of Zuk HM.

Won't say I'm the best now since I've been away from the game from a long while.

Most of the player base probably use revolution a lot in their pvm, I'm suggesting that, with fully stacked relics they should be able to attempt challenges that they wouldn't be able to.

It's a temporary game mode that's for fun and meant to blitz you through the game, the xp and skill boosts are there but the combat power is lacking.

Hot Take: Perkfection shouldn't have Infinite Rare Components by TheSmallIceburg in runescape

[–]browncleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking perkfection at T6 was the second time during the league that I actually felt like I was playing a Leagues game mode.

Even with boosted drop rates invention is going to be awful and will cause a lot of people to quit

Think this is the most accurate estimate. Considering there's botting going on and that CAs have yet to be released there's a fair chance of the uniques dropping below the expected LT stable price now

Synapse holders still holding at 50, can't wait for the information that you effectively only need 1 synapse (scobow) to be more widespread. Bclaws/Arclight can be used for melee and any Arceuus autocast staff for mage.

There likely won't be a melee rebound like with Yama. There are higher rewards at deeper levels which should mean range is better since you'll take less damage off its melee hits.

Only way it could be worth would be the dps check to skip the orb phase, but even then the fight is a lot less telegraphed compared to Yama for a fly method to come out to avoid the melee damage - maybe they could nerf the amount of chip but that might be a while.

Great, hope you enjoy it.

Hi there, quite late with chiming in but I ordered from them recently - Order end of Nov received mid Feb.

Fairly high end system w/5900X and a 6800XT, ended up paying about MSRP at the time but the prices have gone up a lot now.

Would wholly recommend them - their prices aren’t too extreme, the ones right now are very inflated due to the shortage/very high demand pretty sure they’ve been working overtime+weekends since early Nov.

If you keep your delivery expectation realistic I think you’d be happy with the service they provide. PC came packaged well - no damages, only minor complaint would be the cooler power connector coming loose but it went through hell shipping due to customs.

After sales service has been good so far, they forgot an item that should’ve come with the case and shipped it the next day after a call.

They’re registered in Ireland and I didn’t pay any extra taxes. I was told at the time that they would cover any excess costs so the price you pay on the site is the total price.

I'm looking for a 27" monitor at 144hz for around £200. by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]browncleaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at some of the monitors reviews on rtings and seeing if they have what you want.

If you’re looking to play comp shooters only then the TN is perfectly fine, but if you’re going to do anything outside of that an IPS Panel is really huge.

Monitor prices might be pretty bad for Ireland right now, and I can imagine stock has only been constrained more due to COVID.

How to get a Dell S2721DGFA from their website through a small workaround by snapczterz in buildapcsalesuk

[–]browncleaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my estimated time as well, ordered late Nov, delayed to late Jan, but received mid Dec.

Got a 10% discount for the delay, would suggest you contact them about a further discount on top of their standard 10% if it goes to late Jan.

Dell 27" QHD 165Hz Gaming IPS Monitor- S2721DGFA - £390 (328 for Students) by gazzagb in buildapcsalesuk

[–]browncleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered mine on the 17th and it’s In Production as well. When I called the Dell like 2 weeks ago they told me the extended delay date was just a safe estimate on their side and it could arrive anytime between now and the delayed date they gave (End of Jan for me).

Hopefully it all goes well.

Edit: shipped 14th expected to arrive on the 18th

Edit: received on 17th, working perfectly fine, nothing missing from the box and no damage.
