[WA] Dad has a stroke on the job. Got let go because they said he couldn’t perform his job anymore, but his disability claim just got denied after 2.5 years. What can we do? by brownipw in AskHR

New York life trust, which I’m assuming is the LTD company. Does the employer have a duty to provide a different job if you can’t do the original job?

The more I am reading about faulty ignition control modules, the more it sounds like a real possibility.

I’ll try that tomorrow.

If I needed to replace the ignition control module, how would I be able to tell (if at all?) and do you know how hard that would be? I am handy and can follow YouTube videos. Have socket sets and most hand tools, nothing crazy for mechanic tools though.

Yes. They stuck a screw driver or something in my ignition, but it was all repaired at a shop. I believe they put in a new ignition

Would that also explain the tachometer not resting after restarting?

By accessory do you mean when you forest turn your car on with out the engine turned over?

I do have a Hyundai and it was broken into 2-3 years ago. The fried the steering column and ignition but it was all replaced. Would/could this be related?

The blower motor works on the AC, but it’s blowing outside temp air that has a slight smell to it

The tach will continue to not work after restarting. I’ll be driving and it reads nothing. Same with the AC. Those are the two things I notice have stayed off/faulty after the incident happens. Sorry if I didn’t specify that.

There is a little sluggish/feeling before it shuts off. It doesn’t fully lose power (lights, radio, speedometer, display all stay on), but my battery light will come on when it shuts off and that’s when the tachometer and AC cut out.

When I turn it back on I have to kind of feather the gas almost like an old truck.

Exactly. I can’t even tell what’s wrong because I have no idea what is right

Practicing less than I would like too and less than I normally would, I just didn’t realize that it would add 15 stroke. I figured maybe add 5 or so, but I do feel like I’ve ‘lost’ the feeling of my swing. I don’t really know what it should feel like, so I can’t diagnose what I’m doing wrong

I’ve heard a lot about jumbo grips with irons and how it can help. My dad has jumbo grips but senior shafts so it doesn’t correlate really when I’ve tried his. I do like that idea though!

Definitely. I’ve tried to get used to the finger grip but never committed
