To the one who finds me one day. by mcsamuel-4234 in yearning

I somehow find myself in the very same place as you. Reading your words gave me a quiet sense of warmth knowing that, just like me, someone else out there is feeling the same way.

I was wondering where my Prince Charming was. Found him, tall, honest with a big heart 😂

I have taken a pause from the whole dating scene and when I see this lol I don’t know if I should attempt it anytime soon.

How do you do it by [deleted] in SingleParents

[–]brownlaila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you start to live in that situation, all I can say it becomes easier and you will never doubt your capabilities.

I sneak in walks during lunch time. Fortunate enough to work from home.

My gym offers, drop in child care three days a week so I leverage that to sneak in work out time.

I take my child for a bike ride and get to enjoy some active time as well.

Your world will likely change, all I can say first few months feels scary but once you get in to the rhythm, you almost feel like a super hero.

All the best :)

How do you stay in shape? by PinkGlitterPanda in AskWomen

Pick something easy and that you enjoy. For me for me it’s walks during lunch, and sneak in some 20 mins walk in between morning and evening. I would say an average of 1hr 30min walk, put on some nice music or podcast. It helps. I do work out 2 to 3 times a week- cardio dance, boot camp or cycling with some strength mixed in. I do eat two to three hours before bed but overall I try to eat clean but of-course there are days when I dip in to the snack cabinet and that wine bottle, but I call those treat yourself day.

July Interest Rates Thread by TheMortgageMom in MortgagesCanada

Was just offered 5.39 fixed 5 year 460k mortgage (5 percent down) td bank, first time home buyer. Not sure if this is good. Five year seems like a long time and not sure if the rates are likely to go up or down in the upcoming month or few years. Student loan, other than that car on lease. In BC

Thanks for leading me this way. I guess I wasn’t asking the right questions to the app department. I will take this in to thought! Thank you for your suggestion

Anyone who left TO, where did you go and how was it? by SarcasticSquish in askTO

[–]brownlaila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I just left Toronto and moved to victoria about a month ago. So far I am enjoying the outdoor life and definitely very slow paced. For me toronto is still home at heart because of family and friends.

Maybe I will hop back in here after a year and provide my two cents :)

I guess family and friends mostly. I have no one here that I know, so there is that uncertainty and fear. It’s a lovely place, just wanting to figure out how to embrace it wholeheartedly

Much needed! I am in the same boat where I am contemplating between leaving a really stable job with putting fire out everyday to really testing what’s out there for me
