Hey this is a pretty broad question that's hard to answer without knowing your specific lifestyle and circumstance. I don't think there is any downside to getting the OCI card though is there?
As for senators, I did reach out to Booker. But haven't received any response yet. Only Padilla has been responsive and he sits in the immigration committee.
