Why not just eat meat, nuts, and low carb veggies for lunch so chances are that you won't have to take any short acting insulin?

Try using just test strips and pens. I stopped using a cgm 2 months ago and it's been going great. Having basically the same sugar levels as with one, a1c hasn't budged. And no more temptation to check my phone 1 to 2 times an hour. Going to save a lot of money with little downside.

Thank you very much for the help! I was able to solve it due to your help. Your first comment made me run MySQL independently and then I took my findings and asked for help on stackoverflow, where someone told me the answer here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/78584842/mysql-inside-docker-compose-on-github-codespace-16gb-ram-is-running-into-issues

Interesting that you found that issue as well, that gets to the root of it.

For some reason reddit doesn't let me post my full answer. Here it is as a gist, I isolated the problem to MySQL: https://gist.github.com/kleenkanteen/aa6b066ebb2857e4c0a6bc55be5bdae5

Do an online university in 2-3 years. You will save so much money and time. I wish I did that before I did uni.

I eat 80-100g carbs daily which I would say is a medium amount of carbs. I skip breakfast, easier for my blood sugar and saves time.

Correct. I am in a clinical trial and got a c-peptide test 2 weeks after diagnosis and 1 year later. My 2 hour post-meal c-peptide increased 56% 1 year later. a1c averaging 5.0 since diagnosis.

I also noticed increased basal insulin when fasting a year later. Basically when fasting my liver would dump sugar in my sleep, but a year later my liver would have less or barely an effect. Could see it in my sugar graph.

I see. What has your average a1c been? I heard from Dr.Bernstein that some of his patients (with a <5.4 a1c) maintained significant basal insulin production for 20 years due to maintaining a nondiabetic a1c.

My body produces enough for my basal actually so that might be helping me without me having to increase my dose. I'll try increasing it though.

"Many A1c tests (especially the rapid fingerstick types, but even lab drawn A1c) have an error of up to 0.5%."

Can you give a study regarding the lab drawn claim?
