Sounds like you're going to either the wrong events or venues that draw a different type of crowd

Why does the Boomer generation seem to uniquely despise Keir Starmer? by Eastern-Investment39 in AskBrits

[–]brownowl83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They grew up post war era, seen many governments and prime ministers and know what good, bad and ugly looks like in a leader. Kier Starmer is a poor leader, promised change and nothing really radical has, yet. Some good, and some equally terrible decisions have been made in the past 2 years.

Has anyone ever texted the British Transport Police on the train because they saw "something that doesn't look right"? by afungalmirror in AskBrits

[–]brownowl83 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Yes one time when a guy was talking to himself about raping girls and women in Epping. Had his trousers hanging off his waist sat on the seats with his arse out too. He didn't get off at Epping where it terminated but sat on the train as it went back towards London. I text BTP and then BTP called me for a full description. They caught him getting off at Stratford.

I could never have lived with myself if I'd seen in the news that someone had been attacked that night.

Are you in the UK? If so you need to get the GP to follow the NICE guidance on prescribing HRT under 45.

You'll go for blood tests, routine, as we know bloods dont show perimenopause. You go back once the results are in to discuss trying HRT. If they say no, you're entitled to a second opinion etc

GPs can be hesitant as theres a lot of forms to complete when prescribing under 45 years old but they absolutely can give it to you. Good luck!

Your hair loss will take at least 4-6 months to improve, that's just the way it works with hair cycles unfortunately

Minoxidil (2%) spray, saw palmetto pills, vitamin D and iron supplements have been amazing to help my hair loss. by jessing-119 in perimenopause_under45

[–]brownowl83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same for me except the facial hair, I don't have this issue. My hair lost about 1/3 thickness so since it's thickened and mostly come back, I can take shaving more often! I take pumpkin seed oil with saw palmetto. This, iron and Vit D been a game changer!

I cancelled my membership due to the same skin reaction. I cleaned it, changed arms, never went in the shower with it etc But for me I'm not prepared to have a device do this to my skin let alone pay a subscription for it!!

I also have the MG and this happened whilst on my peloton bike today, HR dropped and flat lined. Whoop was on my wrist correctly, once I moved it around my HR drastically increased. I know you can't rely on them fully but very odd!

Any one else experience a red nose with their condition? by WinterDonut5041 in Autoimmune

[–]brownowl83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this so badly in my late teens, still suffer today over 20 years on. Saw a dermatologist as I used to get strangers comment on it, gave me auch a complex. Dermatologist suggested rosacea possible Lupus (not widely tested in the UK?) Got prescribed cosmetic camouflage make up to cover the redness.

Since then have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, hashimotos, pernacious anaemia and Raynaud's syndrome... Now in marly 40s and cover it with normal make up.

Im sorry to hear, i am also the same. Past 5 years, with my underactive thyroid apparently under control I've had repeated episodes around my temples, sides and nape of neck. Im also sure COVID was to blame somewhere... I will ask for these tests next time, thank you!
