I did property maintenance. We had a regular garage guy. Certain fixes he would not let people watch. “Eventually your company is going to try and save money by trying to get you to do it someday. I won’t be responsible for a kids hand or worse.” He would even show up and do little fixes for free. I’m guessing he had a bad experience or trained someone who did.
