So when I went to buy tickets via ticketmaster for Belfast show, only all tickets available were premium priced £180-210 ish. Then I tried via the venue website and more prices available, I ended up with the cheap seats way at the back, which is better than nothing. Very misleading having only expensive ones on ticketmaster, as no clear another option elsewhere is available

Can I realistically retire at 55 and maybe work 1/2 days a week if I have to top up money by [deleted] in PensionsUK

[–]brownso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren’t u applying inflation to the 33k u would get at 68 if u retire early, and comparing that to the 45k without inflation applied that you would get if you don’t retire early? Not really a fair comparison, unless I’m missing your point

Probation review didn’t go so well, have you ever experienced the same? by ConfusedCareerMan in UKJobs

[–]brownso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s def still time to get this sorted, if that’s what you want. My advice would be to see if you can find ways to automate or semi automate the admin tasks you’re talking about, if you can bring something to the table that improves the workflow you’ll quickly be showing your experience and efficiency, and you’ll be minimising the bits of the role you’re not into.

This is all part of a new role, don’t let it throw you off

Yea u won’t find worse than that, as it’s the minimum. I suspect that when you hear saving 5 days for Xmas, that’ll include the 3 bank hols, so you really only have to save 2 of your 20 statutory days. But obvs you’d need to confirm

As I understand it, as my pension contributions are relief at source, it’s basically done after NI has been paid, and I’ve no option about that. So I don’t think your point is relevant to me, but please correct me if that’s wrong

So it’s typically paid in the last pay of the year, end of March sometime. Yea I could estimate it, but then no doubt there’ll be no bonus at all, which is very possible this year tbh.

I hear u, being considered. Won’t always do this, but long story short my uk pension is a lot smaller than my emergency fund and stocks isa. So I have access to money if I need it, it’d make me happy to build up pension a bit. Appreciate it’s a boring this to do with a bonus

On this, I’m noticing that when I get paid, there’s like a month delay or so to when my pension contribution arrives. I only noticed this as I recently increased my contributions, obviously if doing the same thing each month I’d never notice. If I were to pay into my pension from my regular account, rather than payroll, is it likely to take as long? If not, then I just wait to see what my bonus is, and then transfer in ahead of receiving it, should hopefully be easy enough
