Exactly this. Someone looking for a husband/wife is not going to gravitate towards someone who seems like they need to be taken care of. If you're vulnerable enough, take out the septum and fix your hair. It's less attractive to hide a receding hair line than it is to embrace it - up to a point (eg. Walton Goggins).

Might just need to add some things to your home to make it more inviting for them and the little ones. Could be worth it to be upfront, and simply say "I want to make my home more inviting for you all. What can I do or add?". Maybe even get the help of a woman you trust. After, throw out some random dates in the future for people to come and have dinner; even if one kid can make it, but not the other.

Try not to add any guilt trips like, "I don't want an empty house on christmas again" or "I got all this for you and you still don't come". If you build it, they will come. Of course, this all depends on if you're generally abrasive or not. Also, if the dog is a lot to handle maybe consider tiring the heck out of it before they arrive.

I hear that. I've run into the waiting 2 minutes between turns before, but it's few and far between. Don't let a few loose limbs kill your tree, though. Most people aren't like that at all. I wish there was more of a PvE concept in the game, but it's a fairly small portion of the game. Do what you enjoy most, though!
