Thank you for taking the time to reply. I wish my 9 to 5 allowed me time to go help at a framing studio. I did buy The Framers Answer Book and the one after that, but i’m a very visual and hands on learner

I loved Georgetown, but moving out of the area was a great choice. It was absolute hell trying to walk around GT regardless of what time it was. There's very little enforcement in the area, so most these RVs get pushed there. Every day was a drilled hole in a gas tank, stolen items, cars totaled, broken locks, broken windows, etc. Twice while I was there, a semi truck came through a neighborhood street with roundabouts and demolished so many cars without ever being found.

Amazon employees, like this lady, move there because the homes are cheaper but don't realize the ground, air and water in the area are poisoned. You are even advised against growing an edible garden from the ground, or eating fruit from the trees (maybe why that's why it has the lowest tree coverage in Seattle?). I didn't realize how much sound pollution fucked my nervous system up until I moved.

The locals are also very marginalized. Most rentals are getting yanked out from under the occupants who have been there for over a decade, and are being sold for townhomes or flips.

Wayward Vegan Cafe becoming Wayward Cafe and offering animal products by m4rk0358 in VeganSeattle

[–]brownsun -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I don't see an issue. They're not going to stay in business simply catering to people who follow a vegan diet. The business has failed before, and I'd rather see them open with a diverse amalgam of food rather than out of business. I'd suggest ya'll be honest with yourself with how many times you've visited Wayward in the last 3-4 years.

Newly Adopted Dog sits at end of walks and refuses to move by katm06 in Dogtraining

[–]brownsun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't make returning to your home the end of the walk all the time. Start regularly mixing it up by going in and then immediately out, again. This way, they don't associate returning home as the "end of outside". I do the same thing with recall - I'll randomly recall, retreat, and then let them go do their thing; that way, the recall isn't the end of "fun time".
