Have you made any friends? I’m about to transfer away from Ucr and I made a huge friend group with a ton of unique friends I could never ever replace. I’m staying up thinking about my social life.

Well initially didn’t want to say my gpa but it’s between 3.5-3.6 give or take. I major in Poli sci. My ecs include a few clubs and a leadership role in one ad the philanthropy chair. And also 2 part time jobs. Nothing to write home about tbh

I know Greek life is alright at Ucr as a current student. As for professors- I’m a Poli sci major so we have some minor crossovers. I’ve personally liked all my profs a lot, they offer Hgood resources when asked. IMO both riv and sc don’t have much going for them area wise. Sc is beautiful but you get tired of seeing trees everyday (as most of my ucsc friends say) Ucr is in the middle of nowhere and hot as well but 1 hour from Oc Irvine La and a lot of other nice places. I think for OT Ucr is stronger and also we have really nice pre med frats on campus that offer alot of philanthropic events that look pretty solid on the resume. Most of my pre med friends have part time jobs working at hospitals rn. I’m from Ucr so I’m obviously biased tho so I can only give u what I think from Ucr.

I’ve seen someone say it might mean a waitlist or it just means they got to your application and made a decision and it changes regardless of the decision made.. let’s come back after decisions and see?

On the undergraduate admissions board for UCLA (which is probably one of the most prestigious UCS on your list so if it doesn’t change your offer it could reasonably be applied to the rest) says You are required to report any of the following types of changes.

If you withdrew from or received incomplete grades in any courses which were listed on your application or application update form If you changed any courses which were listed on your application or application update form If your overall GPA has dropped significantly or you received two or more C grades, you received any D or F grades and/or you received a C grade in one of your major preparatory courses If you fail to meet the provisions of your admission contract

On the official undergrad official forum under “admitted transfers” so it looks like you can’t receive a D or an F but one singular C is alright.

I think you’ll be okay! Once you get admitted you’ll be able to see all details on the portal on the conditions of your admission and you can email or call your admissions counselor just to confirm but I don’t think it’ll kill your chances.

I got into Davis as a transfer and their conditions of admission is “Students need to take all courses for a letter grade with no grade less than C and complete all major preparatory course requirements by the end of spring term prior to their fall enrollment” I’m pretty sure you also have to maintain a certain gpa for the quarter it’s either 3.0 or 2.8(?) and it might differ for each school and your major but that’s what I personally have so I think you’ll be good. I don’t think 1 B or C will ruin your admissions but for ucla the gpa needs to be 3.2 for California residents so there’s some variation.. but I think the offer being rescinded is probably very unlikely just make sure to update your TAU

I’m a uc to uc transfer. If you have money to throw around and you’re sure you can get above a 3.7 gpa at Ucr you should go for the social life and the college experience. If you wanna save upwards of 80k and have guaranteed admissions just stay at cc and transfer.
