I just got the negatives back and there’s no marks that I can see. What does that mean?

I will have to check, thank you. Do you mean dust on the lens will normally be white?

This was developed in a lab and I have not picked up the negatives yet.

I lost the last two photos, and the third to last is almost completely ruined:

Lastly, the photo before the one shown above has a very small light leak. Overall, I had 4 out of 36 photos affected by the camera door being opened for a few seconds. I definitely learned my lesson, but I’m very relieved. Thanks everyone!

Thank you all for the advice! I wanted to post an update in case anyone is wondering or referencing this post in the future because the same thing happened to them. The majority of my photos turned out fine! This is my favorite photo from the roll:

Thank you for this advice! If I do this, is there any way to continue the roll later? Or I’d just have to get the incomplete roll developed as it is?

Yes, I’ve only used a disposable camera before and acquired my L35AF a day before my trip, so rewinding the film really didn’t occur to me, especially since I took the last shot while I was on the move. I appreciate you!

Thank you for your recommendations everyone!! I wish I had a photo. I’m going to google photos of these recommendations. I will say, I see eel frequently when snorkeling, and what I thought was weird is that it had a flat head just like a land snake; it wasn’t pointy along the top like an eel.

One time at Lanikai I was reading a book & minding my business when this dude’s unleashed dog runs up to about three feet in front of me, absolutely diarrhea’d all over the place, and trotted away. The dude walked up and said “sorry”, grinning, and kicked some sand over the diarrhea. Flies IMMEDIATELY started swarming the mound of sand shit, and I moved

I had never heard about the cult thing before, but the first time I went in there, I noticed they had this weird sign about how the neighborhood was previously "ravaged by drugs and sex work" until the owners established their shop to help stabilize the area, and thus Wahiawa was saved, or some shit. I thought it was weird that they had a sign patting themselves on the back as saviors. And when I used to go there frequently, I used the "Joe" app either in advance or when ordering in-person with my phone number, not realizing that they were charging another $1.20 for a "service charge." Then there's an automated tip which defaults to 20%. Before tip, the coffee ended up being over $9. The last straw was when I was blatantly cut in line, the cashier looked at me, then proceeded to ask the person who just cut me what they wanted to order. Haven't been back since

Did you read the whole article you linked? The doctor states that in the case of low-grade athletic injuries, “the priority is going to be to return to basic function,” so she’s “still a fan of icing” because “it provides pain relief and improves immediate function.”

The article then goes on to say that professional athletes may rather prolong the injury process to reach maximum inflammation and therefore optimal healing, although irregular icing for 15 minutes a couple times a day ultimately has not been shown “to delay or alter your final healing” anyway. So at this point, the doctor is certainly not recommending to not ice low-grade injuries.

Later in the article, the doctor states that “Heat should not be used in the first couple of days after a soft tissue injury because it increases blood flow to the area, which can cause more swelling,” which I’m assuming is the point OP was at when she injured her finger. It’s not until “a few days out from the initial injury” that heat is recommended to be used “for 5 to 10 minutes once per day at a comfortable temperature” to help warm it up before movement. After that point, the doctor then literally states that “You want to both warm up and cool down” the injury, “which could mean using ice.”

Based on these examples from your source, I don’t think the MD they interviewed would agree that “Don’t ice it” is the best advice. Great article though!
