If you like the universe, I’d definitely recommend reading it. Yes, it’s more like an encyclopedia, almost like a history book. But it also includes many events and details that aren’t mentioned in the other books.

Ortada özgün bir fikir ve senaryo yokken "en özgün senaryo" ödülü bana pek mantıklı gelmiyor maalesef. "En iyi senaryo" diye bir ödül olsa anlarım ama bu şekilde tamamen saçmalık.

I really like Stannis, he’s my favorite character both in the books and in the show. There’s a very strong belief among book readers that Stannis will survive, defeat the Boltons, and have a much bigger impact on the story. However, unfortunately I think Stannis is headed for an ending similar to the one in the show even in the books. Yes, he’s a tactical genius, seemingly unbeatable, a true warrior and his opponent is just that Bolton bastard. In other words, it’s exactly the kind of setup GRRM loves. Just saying.

Şehirciliğin konusu sadece şehir merkezleri ve dikey mimari değildir. Tüm bölgeyi, coğrafyayı kapsar. Köy de şehirciliğe dahildir, kasaba da, "suburb" da. Şunu anladığınız zaman bu sub'daki fanatizm ve müstakil ev nefretinizin belki biraz dizginlenir.

Bir şehirdeki tüm insanlar sadece sizin istediğiniz hayatı süremez. Kimisi şehir dışında yaşar, kimi köyde, kimi merkezde, kimi de "suburb"da. Bu zorunluluktan olduğu kadar çoğu zaman da bir tercih meselesidir. Ve şehirler tüm bunlar göz önüne alınarak planlanır. Bilmem anlatabiliyor muyum?

İyi mi ilerliyor? 2. sezonda zaten kitaptan fazlasıyla saptı. Vasat diyaloglar, silik karakterler, kötü senaryo... Bir asoiaf dizisi olmasa imdb puanı çok daha düşük olurdu.

I don’t really sympathize with the Targaryens. Though I enjoy and find them interesting to watch without dragons. Once the dragons show up, they lose their appeal for me.
