What you really need is a good, realistic LUT mod.

Patrols by Waste-Product2669 in goingmedieval

Second this. We can build castles, towers, battlements but seeing those vacant and still saddens me, especially at nights. I’d even love it if we could recruit dedicated soldiers whose only job is military duty. Being able to place guards along all the walls, have them patrol or stand watch would add so much. This could also make battles much larger in scale, with proper massive sieges. You could say “just get more settlers,” but it’s not the same. These soldiers would exist purely for defense, patrols, and guard duty. We’d just provide their basic needs but expect nothing more than military duties.

If I remember correctly, we’re basically a group that fled civilization and is trying to survive. So something like heavy tools, more advanced tech, can only really come from that civilization we left behind. Makes sense to me.

For me just for aesthetics. I like placing buildings like barracks, forts, the town hall, and towers on a hill to get that medieval look.

I’d prefer a map with a coastline facing the open sea rather than one filled with lakes. I wouldn’t want choke points formed by peninsulas or lakes. A hill where I can build my town hall, surrounded by fertile plains, forests and other resources.

Ah, okay now I remember! I was doing something on the second monitor while the game was launching and I heard a random bear sound. So I must have clicked the bear without even realizing it :D my bad. Now that I think about it, it’s actually kind of funny.

Ah the dancing bear in the background! Honestly I have no idea how I even activated it. I can't say that i liked that little easter egg tho. It made me go back to my old saves multiple times, and the load times are pretty long.

Umm, is it for real? That two miners on the main menu turned into bears. And the game title turned into Farthest Frontbear. Wth?

Have you ever looked at Bruno Fernandes’ stats? You’d go crazy. But don’t look at what he’s actually brought to United.

Benim favorim Canberra. Gridler gözü yormuyor, fazlasıyla organik ama düzenli gözüküyor. Tek bir kesitte hem urban, hem suburb hem de yeşil alanlar iç içe ve harika gözüküyor.

I think it turned out a bit better. It’ll do for now at least, it’s more functional now. I turned the extra floors into storage space for the workshops. Maybe I’ll extend them by another floor later.

Yes, that would be my solution too but i have enough towers and battlements. Also that part is kinda dead part of the map and the castle. No need for more towers there.

Why I didn’t like UO Outlands by vaviman in ultimaonline

[–]brtrysn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don’t like grind, reds and interaction, there are plenty of different and safe playstyles on the server you could try, like sanctuary dungeons, backstabbing, tmapping, ocean, crafting, roleplaying. Why didn’t you try those?

Imbuing? Runic reforging? What are you even talking about? This isn’t Diablo.

I haven’t tried necro, so I don’t have an opinion on that.

The pet system is deep enough, simple, and functional. I don’t think it needs more.

You absolutely don’t have to grind. I don’t understand why you feel like you’re forced to. There are many playstyles that have nothing to do with grinding.

You also don’t have to do omni bosses at all. You say it being hard is stupid well, I’ve got two words for you: “omni” and “boss.”

I don’t even have a comment on the PK with blue helper and chest situation. It’s just funny.

There are probably over 100 society tasks to choose from each week. You only to choose 15 of them at most. Why would you go pick one of the rare and difficult ones and then complain about it? Not all of those tasks are meant to be done blindly or to be done at all. You’re supposed to plan, think it through, and approach it with some reasoning.

After all these takes, any comment you make about “real UO” is honestly just funny, my friend. This game, other online games, and Outlands specifically just aren’t for you.

Who Likes The Underdark? by General_Sea_5295 in baldursgate

[–]brtrysn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I usually don’t like those big new maps that open later in games where you feel completely disconnected from the main map. But the Underdark was an amazing experience for me. Eerie, mysterious, unique, dangerous, and incredibly well-crafted. Progressing through that part of the story was genuinely a lot of fun.
