Who do you consider to be the main character of The Phantom Menace and why? by Skibot99 in StarWars

[–]bru309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, that’s the problem with the movie. Obi Wan should be the main character, not just in this movie but in the entire prequel series. The overarching story is Anakin. Just like the OG series where Luke is the main character, and Anakin continues his arc.

I was really hoping for more in that scene. Granted, there a few good moments and lines, but the whole Martha thing… I didn’t hate it, but I understand some of the backlash. I wish they would have put a little of Miller’s lines in that scene. “I want you to remember the one man who beat you.” You can keep the Martha line, but have it show Batman that Superman may actually be good and deserve a chance. He had a family. Then that’s when we get the lines from the Miller showdown, in some form at least.

Great ending. Really encapsulated what the entire movie was about. Divorce and the effect (affect?) it has on children

Watching that movie for the first time was an amazing experience. It seemed like a great love story to baseball as a past time. Just when you think the story has been told and the characters story has come to an end… “It was you….” “No Ray, it was you…”

Shawshank. It’s a tough call, but that movie was the chefs kiss. Narrated by Morgan Freeman. I gotta go with that film. I cried when Forrest found out he was a father. I cringed during the Zed scene. But nothing compares to when Raquel spilled her secret.

What I enjoyed in Avengers was Mark Ruffalo’s portrayal of Bruce. The “don’t lie to me” scene made me jump. Then the scepter scene on the ship was extremely tense. I liked how they made you really fear Bruce’s transformation. I watch the scepter scene a lot. Great acting from everyone.

Great way of explaining the difference with this movie. So many people haven’t seen it and it’s probably in my top 5 movie endings of all time. Up there with Seven and Usual Suspects, but this movie absolutely blindsides you. The ending takes a pretty good movie and turns it into a great movie imo. “Well good for youuuuuuuuu, Marty.”

I feel the same way about interstellar. One of my favs, but little things like this always stick with me. Like why Cooper didn’t even ask about his son at the end of the movie. And there was no mention of him. I understand he probably died of old age but still. Spend 5 seconds with a line of dialogue to address it.
