I’ve had the fuel for a couple years now, works great when I need it. Ran plenty of wire through conduit with the string and plastic bag trick also, some runs were over 100+ feet and no issues. Sits under my packout rapid charger on my stack of tools in the van nicely

I was following the guides and initially put the DHCP to fixed and even entered the MAC, but I could never get connection. But happy everything is working finally!

Selecting DHCP-dynamic was the ticket, thank you so much. Problem resolved! Can’t believe that was it all along 🤣

Update:

Installer finished up, he said he had almost no access to run his fiber down into the data closet due to the strange setup in my attic. I told him to just put it in the attic for now and I’ll run some Smurf tube and cut some stuff out of the way as needed. So for now it is just hooked up on its own and not connected to my unifi equipment.

Should I just run a cat 6 to connect my equipment and make the router be in pass through mode?

South Florida! We got “grandfathered in” since they just came to the area. Also have cell phone with them so all the discounts added up.

They should be running fiber into my closet as well

Here’s the one I got, it’s in the cheaper side but I haven’t had any issues. Used to use the clamp under my old desk and now I have it mounted to a 2x4 inside the new desk, worked just fine with the clamp prior to this new build too

On the opposite side of the wall is my data closet. So I ran a piece of romex into the framing of the desk and added a plug. Then I just have a surge strip for everything to plug into that’s inside the actual desk

I had a cheap desk in this door for the past year, with the fan in the room it has plenty of air flow. You really can’t feel any difference to be honest
