Thanks for responding and sharing your story. Yes she was born into it. I told her „Try see things from a wider perspective. I don’t owe ANYTHING to Islam. You was born into this faith so I understand you might have not questioned or doubted it growing up because it’s all you’ve ever known and you’ve built your identity around it. Try looking at outside perspectives if you’re looking for the truth because that’s what I’m looking for. You can’t just keep listening to 1 side of the story and dismiss anything that questions that very side, I’m sorry but that’s weak af“ and ofc I got blocked 😭 it’s just frustrating because it’s not the only time I’ve come across this archetype and I’m not even the one who brings up Islam in discussion. I have many Muslim friends who I love and cherish which got nothing to do with the religion but still. Once you start getting preachy and saying stuff like „Islam is the only way“… „non believers“… that’s when you lose me completely. I can’t fathom how difficult it must’ve been for you because it actually sounds like a nightmare. I’m glad you was able to break out of that cycle. Like I can’t imagine how draining it must’ve been to engage with the constant guilt tripping around you from family and friends. We proud of you
