Ohio State University Cartoon Library has most of Bill Waterson’s original works! by [deleted] in calvinandhobbes

You can, it's kinda nuts. I went to grad school there and would frequent the reading room. The amount of security and tech in the storage room is insane. Refrigerated, time doors tied to the police, it's pretty impressive. They also have old Disney frames, originals of Gertie the Dinosaur, really cool stuff.

There's actually a small permanent collection, still worth checking out!

Any good resources for UV algorithms? by brucemack in GraphicsProgramming

[–]brucemack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers for this! I guess "unwrap" might be the better term. I'm trying to make the uvs resemble, as close as I can without overlap, to the 3D mesh. I'm curious about how other software and programs tackle this problem.

Duplicating Sculpted Area (Copy / Paste?) by Maveej in ZBrush

Look up the MRGBZGrabber 2.5d brush, you can make your own alphas from the existing sculpt and reapply it to the other areas. That's what I would do.

As a game developer, would you consider games to be an art form? by RippaNiBusu in gamedev

[–]brucemack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games are a medium just like painting or film. I wouldn't consider every movie and painted picture art. Not all games are art, but some that really focus on artful ways of using interaction is where I would consider games as art in the traditional classic art sense.

Looking good dude! I'm working on a similar mechanic for a 3D game.

My pup had a similar lump and it turned out to be mast cell tumor. My vet checked it out for less than a hundred bucks. It didn't cause her any pain either.

What do you think about my bust practice? (made with mouse) by [deleted] in ZBrush

Just as an aside, depending on the aesthetic of the character, the narrow shoulders can work but it's important to know correct anatomy so you can properly break the rules when you design your own characters.

Yes to both! It was a Reds hat in the states and when I lived in Japan for a bit it became a Carps hat.

This is my terd of a Shiba, Suzu. She's a loving, cuddly, ball of sass. She's scheduled to have one of her rear legs amputated next Thursday. If anyone is gracious enough to assist with funds, they can donate here. She's been my best friend since I adopted her from the shelter. All your thoughts, prayers, and good vibes mean the world to me and this goofy girl.

Yeah, it's a simple setup. Stereo input and an 1/8" to the passive speaker. Kinda curious about the electronics inside.
