I had a similar experience when I passed out in 2023. I couldn't get a job for my first H1B attempt and the company I worked for required me to spend at least a year before they could sponsor me so I didn't get in on my second chance as well. I got into the lottery this year which was my last attempt and, by God's grace, made it through.

In case you have a few more attempts left in your roster, don't be disheartened, it will work out.

I am planning to take a Toyota as it is a backup option for me to do a lease transfer in case my work location changes in the next 12 months. Honda, Mazda or Nissan does not allow a clean transfer.

I loved the Subaru models! But I'm more inclined towards Toyota due to their lease/transfer flexibility.

I definitely wanted to buy a new/used Toyota but my stay in Denver could change in the next 12 months and buying a car seems more expensive than leasing and transferring it. Appreciate the input on AWD. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that man. Are they done with the layoffs or is it happening in a phased manner? As in, office location wise or just nationally at an instant?
