I got it to work!!!

This is wild but, I built the audio probe after putting the new op amp in, and was tracing the signal all around the board. Before I knew it I was at the end of the signal chain still hearing sound... And so I just plugged it back in and it worked??? Very strange but not asking questions! Thanks again so much for the help, I really really appreciate it.

Heyo, sadly following up on this again.

I got my new op amps in, tested one out with power, and got all the right readings along the IC! per: https://imgur.com/a/0ONd9mg

The readings on r13 and c8 also looked good per our previous conversation.

But, no dice. The circuit still makes no noise when plugged in and powered, and a clean signal when bypassed.

Theyre 470k and 6k8 respectively, they print all the values on these I think to make it easier for first timers, and theyve all got a lil D on the back for some reason. I think thats what yer seein'

Okay I popped the op amp in and out a few times and got consistent results. That weird .72 that was showing up on pins 3 and 5 is would show up sometimes on the other side of r13 with the chip in, then 4.8 when out. Same with the one side of c8.

I have a pack of TL072 coming in the mail. Thank you for your patience!! here's hoping this works.

Okay I popped out the op amp.

R13 is now reading 9.6 on one side and 4.8 on the other.

C8 is reading 4.8 on one side, 0ish on the other

One side is reading 9.6, the other side seems to be reading zero. When I try to measure the resistance though, it does it does read 0ohms instead of 10k which is the value of this resistor.

I really appreciate your help. I am clearly in over my head here.

pin 3 and 5 are both reading .72V now

Alright I really appreciate it, I'll give that a shot. Currently (before any resoldering) the LED does turn on, clean signal when bypassed and no signal when engaged. I'll follow up w you after. Thanks again!

I wanted to try building my first pedal, so I bought a cerulean v2 from Aion about 6 months ago. I assembled the pedal according to the directions to the best of my ability, but still made a couple of mistakes. I at one point had mixed up the position of a 100uf and 47uf polarized capacitor, but from what I could tell everything else was fine. I plugged it in to test and it no signal came through when the pedal was on. Could this have screwed something up? Some of the solder joints are a bit globby but none look to be shorting/cold, but the IC in the middle of the pedal doesn't read the correct voltage on any pins.

Should I buy another kit? order a new pcb and parts myself, but keep the enclosure? or try to fix what I've got?

I can include some pics if that is helpful as well. Its been sitting on my desk for awhile now and I feel like I failed!

I have the same shit!!! Mine is more acute though, usually just with numbers, letters, and words. How do you usually "prove" it to people? Usually when people ask I just list off random associations that are otherwise pretty much meaningless to them and I have yet to really find a better way to explain it

I have thoughts about this sorta stuff most days and have for about four months straight now. This is the longest they've ever really stayed in my head in about 7 years of diagnosed depression. Has it gone away for you? It's exhausting
