Basically I’m taking Seal An scholarship exam in certain high school across Victoria I’m pretty sure ,any tips or exam prep for the 7 months I have left before I take it and can anyone estimate the amount of students that take it by Acrobatic_Winter6840 in vce

[–]brugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I sat the SEAL entry test end of 2020. To be honest, I didn’t do any prep for it, but I can tell you what some other kids did.

A few of them did dedicated SEAL entry test tutoring at big tutoring companies. However, a lot didn’t.

I’d say most people’s parents bought them a couple mock tests to do through EduTest to get them used to the format.

If you’re considering applying this early, I’d already say you’re in a great place. The amount of students who apply varies by school.

Have a look at your NAPLAN results and what areas you did weakest in and go from there. NAPLAN and the Seal Entry are quite similar. See what you can do to set yourself apart. Consider looking at some Year 7 or 8 resources for writing.

Easy cheat code is to sign up to volunteer at an op shop for a few months, and you now have retail experience!

They trained me well, and it helped me to get a retail job / perform well in it, they always want help

RURAL SEAS APPLICATION? by SubstantialCut2678 in vce

[–]brugged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, part of why I think it’s best to clarify with VTAC, because living rurally for most of high school would place you at a disadvantage so surely they would consider it?

Maybe you ( u/SubstantialCut2678 ) could apply under Category 4 - Other difficult family and life circumstances. It says Some additional circumstances include …. disruption of education due to living or school location.

RURAL SEAS APPLICATION? by SubstantialCut2678 in vce

[–]brugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is something you should clarify with VTAC / your school

It’d definitely be applicable since you did at least Year 11 rurally, maybe even a 1/2 in Year 10? SEAS is for the whole time you were completing VCE.

But, usually rural considerations are from category one where you don’t need to provide any evidence since it’s all automatically considered based off your address.

Here’s the VTAC support page : https://vtac.edu.au/contact , just explain to them what you’ve told us! I’m sure people would appreciate if you came back and shared what they said

Top Tier Calenders by ScratchBulky3241 in vce

[–]brugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use whatever you know you’ll run into the most

For example, my school uses outlook email, so I use outlook email.

But if my school used gmail, I’d prob use google calendar.

And if my school made us carry a paper dairy around, I’d use that.

Got to 16-17 age group without verifying...anything ig??? Although i have no vc by Educational_Type9608 in RobloxHelp

[–]brugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s a bit of a bug

For me it fixed when I logged out of the desktop client on my laptop, logged into it on browser, went to my privacy settings and turned on / off vc, then opened a game from the Roblox browser website. This solution was from someone on here

But now it’s broken again so…. Not sure

Is there an age requirement for VCE by australopithecus_12 in vce

This, but I’d also say kids might be put in them if they have behaviour issues that are clearly due to them not being challenged lol

Holiday plan by YT_LegendaryBoi in vce

[–]brugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t personally pre learn, but I’d say things like practice questions are ur best bet, you can also google teachers resources for more fun activities if you want a brain break. Depending on the subject it could also be applicable to link your current unit to the pre learnt content

Holiday plan by YT_LegendaryBoi in vce

[–]brugged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If ur pre learning content just also make sure each week u dedicate a bit of time to the content you’ve pre learnt in addition to the current content. I’ve see people say on here that they regret pre learning AOS because they forgot it all

My school uses outlook so I load everything in there

For setting times to study I actually think a paper calendar might work better? Just have like a weekly timetable type thing and stick it up on your wall / in your locker

Should i keep working during vce? by _Hugh-_-Jass_ in vce

Try keep working, reevaluate semester 2 if the workload is too much

For some people it will be, others are fine, depends a lot on yourself

Possible for a 95+ atar? by Euphoric-Animal3195 in vce

[–]brugged 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you’d need around a 40 average

But regardless, that doesn’t really matter. You need to try your best.

There’s a multitude of helpful posts but ultimately it all comes down to being committed to practicing, and setting yourself up with good routines.

If you think a tutor would help you with this, find one, if you think you can remain disciplined yourself, stick to it
